October 23, 201411 yr Your X-Factor one reminded me of this: I promise that it's worth watching. [video=youtube;k1T9-I3wx8I] I have LONG considered The Rose to be one of the most beautiful songs ever written and that cover absolutely blew me away. INCREDIBLE!!!
October 23, 201411 yr B-Ball-Fan's posting of an X-Factor performance made me remember another very stirring performance seen on X-Factor a few years ago. This is Leona Lewis covering Snow Patrol's song "Run". Gives me chills every time I see it. [video=youtube_share;4pIieK1KfA8]
October 23, 201411 yr I have LONG considered The Rose to be one of the most beautiful songs ever written and that cover absolutely blew me away. INCREDIBLE!!! I'm with ya man. Although I'll submit to watching TV singer competitions, and often with reservation because of the sometimes cheesy sheen about them, this one really affected me with an abundance of goose bumps. He really brought it to that song. I've watched it now about 10 times and it still gets me.
October 23, 201411 yr Puttin' On The Ritz: Taco or Gene Wilder/Peter Boyle (Young Frankenstein) Is "none of the above" an acceptable choice? No! Obviously, you must still be an inarticulate mass of lifeless tissue; rather than a cultured, sophisticated man-about-town.

October 23, 201411 yr Love the Johnny Cash cover of Sheryl Crow's "Redemption Day". Johnny had an unmistakable voice all his own and never failed to make the blood in the veins of the listener quiver from head to toe. What a treasure of an artist he was. We haven't yet started a country artist Mt. Rushmore, but I'm picking him now as Numero Uno.
