August 12, 201412 yr Hated hearing this. Robin Williams was always in character, during interviews he was the funniest. I loved his stand up and who could forget his role as Mork from Ork. He truly loved being funny, you could just tell. Depression is rampant in our society and it does not discriminate. Teens, children, musicians, Oscar winning actors, etc. First thing I thought of when I heard this was SHAZBAT !!!! Some of you older cats will get this.
August 12, 201412 yr That's it, and yes, it's creepy. But it's also one of my favorite Robin Williams films. Another he played a bad guy in was Insomnia with Al Pacino. Another solid movie.
August 12, 201412 yr Whoa. I always think of his role in Dead Poet's Society when I think of him. RIP. I do as well. Loved his Apple commercial from within the past 6 months or so where they took an audio clip from that film. Great actor and comedian, sad to see him go out like this.
August 12, 201412 yr Prayers to his family. There are so many movies I enjoyed. Dead Poets Society Good Will Hunting Patch Adams Awakenings The Fisher King Mrs Doubtfire Are all movies I could watch over and over. Good Morning Vietnam Aladdin Death to Smoochy
August 12, 201412 yr When Robin was on Actor's Studio, I think, I remember him going into his battles with drugs and depression. He actually said that some of his best comedic material came to him when he was extremely depressed. Funny how the mind works.
August 12, 201412 yr Lots and lots of funny stand up. My favorite, the one where my wife and I just laughed so hard until we literally cried, I just can't describe and explain on here due to the subject. Let's just say, he was making his wife happy.

Many of them have been through a lot of horrible stuff, and use that in their acts.
August 12, 201412 yr Was reading through an article on Entertainment Weekly & producer Garry Marshall said this of Williams: "He could make everyone happy but himself."
