August 12, 201412 yr I wasn't a huge fan or much if a fan at all for years. Then I found out about his USO tours and became a big fan of the man more than the comedian. I have a great photo somewhere of him and my cousin (Lt. Dan) in Iraq. He said Williams kidded him about being Lt Dan and called him that in a Forrest Gump voice over and over. RIP Robin NaNu Nanu
August 12, 201412 yr Really sad. A genius, no doubt. Depression is a greatly misunderstood disease. Let's hope we make progress in getting folks better help with it.
August 12, 201412 yr I'll probably remember him best for playing Peter Pan - one of my all-time favorite characters from fiction. "Hook" came out in 1991, when I was 10 years old. Peter Pan was the ultimate idea of a 'boy' in my mind. Williams did an amazing job of playing one as an adult. He was fantastic in that role. Absolutely loved that movie as well. Might have to watch it tonight.
August 12, 201412 yr My other favorite movie of his was What Dreams May Come, he did not get enough credit for that movie, as well as the movie didn't get enough credit. I feel like too few people have seen this, but I completely agree with you!

August 12, 201412 yr Sad news indeed. Really like him and just read that the Crazy Ones got canceled by CBS. Just turned 63 on July 21 as his birthday was same day as man. Probably one reason I liked him and very sad when my wife told me the news.
August 12, 201412 yr Was in an episode of Law and Order: SVU too a while back. Was impressed with his acting in that episode.
