Died due to asphyxia.

It seems like so many comics who make us laugh are sad on the inside.

I'm probably the only one but I think of the Genie in Aladdin always when his name comes up. Of course he was in way better movies and roles but it stuck with me from childhood.

Saw that reported on Gawker. Of course, that wasn't the coroner's report...but that leaves you to assume either hanging, or dare I say autoerotic asphyxiation. Either way, so so sad.

Robin's widow issued a statement earlier today saying that "it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.

I'm looking at all these pictures of him on facebook, and I somehow feel betrayed.

Why? You always made us laugh and entertained us. Your humor helped us forget our own troubles. Why, Robin, why?

Depression is a terrible thing.

Depression is a terrible thing.

Agreed. I just didn't understand it fully until I dated someone who suffered from chronic depression. It's really a disease.

Would that also be the cause of death from starting a car in a closed garage?

Either way it is an extremely sad day in the entertainment industry. R.I.P. Robin Williams, thanks for all the laughs along the way. Godspeed.

Ahhh, true. Hadn't thought about that.

Prayers to his family.

There are so many movies I enjoyed.

Dead Poets Society

Good Will Hunting

Patch Adams

Awakenings

The Fisher King

Mrs Doubtfire

Are all movies I could watch over and over.

The Fisher King, Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society were probably my favorite. I always really like The Best of Times, where they go back and replay a high school football game as well.

Genie--You are free.

I have the Park Scene from Good Will Hunting on my iPod. How in the world is that the first thing to play when I shuffled my iPod this morning?

He was fantastic in that role. Absolutely loved that movie as well. Might have to watch it tonight.
