I love when Louisville plays EKU or Murray State, not because they're going to be great games, but because that fat check from the Louisville Athletic Department helps EKU and Murray continue to build their programs. If Western hadn't spent the last few years getting the snot kicked out of them by Auburn, Nebraska, and whoever else, I don't know that they have the cash to build up to the Sun Belt and now to C-USA.

Other thing people neglect is that teams do not have a preseason to get ready for games in college. Preseason, to get down timing, is a big deal in football.
July 25, 201412 yr UK would make a lot more money if they came to Cbus. PBS would be 80% full of scarlet/gray even if the tickets were 50/50. Maybe more so. I could be underestimating but doubt that you'd find that many UK fans interested enough to drive to Cincy.

July 25, 201412 yr I really don't care, but it would make sense to me to play mid to lower level teams from the other BCS conferences, like Iowa State, Minnesota, Washington State, etc. You wanna be tested but have a 50/50 chance to win.

True, but UK is one of the few self sustaining (has a profit without subsidies from the school) athletic programs in the country. A big pay day is not what they are probably looking for. If in a few years UK has a team that can compete and possibly win against OSU then I would be completely for it. But getting smashed for money isn't what UK needs right now.
