This is a garbage comment and nothing but a cheap shot at UK fans. Why don't you tell the real story about Jurich pulling his garbage tricks again and requesting any unsolds get returned by 7/30 for a game in November (this game has not even gone on sale yet on UK's site, it's been offered to season ticket holders only) and jacking up the prices to UK fans and charging $22 less to his faithful. Not surprised by this one bit from Jurich. Garbage and chicken little. There will plenty of UK fans at this game, they are just not going to be taken advantage of on the inflated ticket prices.

 

On another note, if you think for one second, UK would not sell out their 50% allotment at PBS for a matchup with OSU, then you are sadly mistaken and vastly underestimate the BBN.

 

You're really complaining about the HOME TEAM fans having to pay less for a rivalry game? Really? :lol2: And are you saying that UK season ticket holders are only interested in seeing their team play at home? Like I said, it's embarrassing not to sell the allotment. It would bother me if Louisville couldn't sell theirs when the games are in Lexington.

 

We have differing opinions on the PBS situation, that's not really a shocker. As CC pointed out earlier, I probably don't realize how many UK fans there are in the Cincy area, and that could make a huge difference in attendance. I'll stick by my thoughts that BBN would be outnumbered in that scenario, though.

There are not a huge amount of UK fans in Cincy. It's not like UK fans located in Louisville. And with the fans there are, they're probably a lil more basketball friendly. I'm sure some would go to a game at PBS though.

I don't think Kentucky would have any problem attracting 30,000+ to a decent game at PBS.

I really like the UC and UNC ideas to include both football and basketball. I would add Miami(Oh) and OU along with IU and the Illini.

 

The UC-UK football games back in the early 90s were a lot of fun. :dancingpa

Mostly from Cincinnati, NKY and the surrounding areas as well as down-state.

UK is very prominent in NKY. By far the biggest fan base. But once you go to the wrong side of the river it switches to UC and OSU. Though there are pockets of UK fans across the river.

All I'm saying is I was basically surrounded by buckeyes the whole time I was there and the experience wasn't pleasant.

 

I had some good friends that were from Ohio and OSU fans, but even they were extremely obnoxious when it came to OSU sports (especially football). There were some who weren't my friends who were on a whole another level of obnoxiousness, just never really liked the vibe I got from them, just not my crowd.
