July 8, 201412 yr Why would anyone be surprised by this poll? The left has been bashing America for decades. Bill Ayers was interviewed on Fox News and had nothing but contempt for our nation. Michele Obama said during the 2008 campaign for the 1st time (and most likely the only time) she was proud of her country. I'm not surprised by this news, saddened, but not surprised.
July 8, 201412 yr If you're not proud to be an Anerican go live in Afghanistan. The left-wing and sometimes right wing to be fair complaining about this country makes me sick. The US is the best country in the world and if you don't feel that way perhaps you should denounce your citizenship. Do the politics in this country anger us sometimes? Of course but that happens everywhere.
July 8, 201412 yr 60 % of " strong liberals " claim not to be proud of America . Man if that 60 % would move to France or Canada the Ol USA would be a lot better off .
July 8, 201412 yr If you're not proud to be an Anerican go live in Afghanistan. Pretty sure those who are not proud of the US look to Europe as a Utopia. Hollywood fits this bill. I believe Johnny Depp spends quite a bit of time in France when not making movies in the US. I believe several others do the same. While it seems to be the left that fits this bill the most, you sometimes here those on the right saying they will leave is Hillary wins which is disappointing. Granted, I am not sure where those on the right plan to find a more conservative nation.

July 8, 201412 yr These statistics make me think of some of the people in the company I work for, who USED to get up in communication meetings or pull me aside on the floor to tell me how bad things were. Two of the worst offenders, both otherwise nice conscientious people, I asked one time where else they had worked. NEITHER of them had ever had another job...both in the company for roughly 15 years. I advised one of them, if you are not happy, you should test the waters outside of the company. But, I told him I will bet him $50 on the spot that he will be asking for his job back within 6 months. He didn't take me up on that, but he has become a more positive opinion leader. I think this is analogous with a lot of these people referenced in the poll. They haven't experienced anything else, and frankly don't seem to have the empathy to be able to project what their life would be with, without the freedoms they enjoy. Few of us are happy every day about all that goes on...and I have traveled the globe, and there are a lot of nice places...BUT I wouldn't trade the US as my home. There were a couple of questions I really didn't want to answer because I thought the two options were too narrow.
