July 9, 201412 yr Not trying to come across as a smart-aleck. But should we be in the business of administering IQ tests at the border? And I agree with the pervading sentiment that this was very much a "black and white with no shades of gray" test. Not gonna produce too many middle-of-the-road results. No IQ tests. There are many geniuses who are content to draw government checks for doing nothing. This country is under absolutely no obligation to accept any immigrants. It is irresponsible for not setting high standards for those who want to become our neighbors. At a minimum, immigrants should be required to bring substantial savings into the country, have basic written and verbal English skills, be disease-free, and have a sponsor willing to put them to work. Allowing people to immigrate to this country should not be seen as an act of charity. Immigration be tightly controlled and should only be allowed where it is in our own selfish national interest.
July 9, 201412 yr What were his political views that he thought China was a model country? I cannot think of a Dem or Repub who would envy China. I believe he was attracted to China as an up and coming economic and political power. Along the lines of those who saw Russia "as the future" in the 1920's-30's, enamored by the promises of a new system that was going to take care of all the ills that mankind faces. Listened to all the blowhards on the left. He realized that the good old USA was a way better place to live in. Hs grandfather said he practically kissed the ground when he arrived home.

Yeah, it's fascinating stuff to read and figure out where you fall based on their questions. Like I might have expected, I fall mainly within the "Next Generation Left" grouping, but there's a lot of things even there that I don't really fall in line with.
July 10, 201412 yr Took the test. Steadfast conservative, even AFTER answering a couple of questions that most would consider very much liberal. Well, I consider the answer liberal anyway, especially in line with most of my thinking.
