The point I was trying to make was knowing how out of whack "Some" Highlands fans are, if they struggle any at all, will all of the finger pointing start at BW? I hope it doesn't and actually think he has been under appreciated if that is possible, over the past few years and what he too has meant to HHS success.

Last years HHS freshman team was the weakest, by far, in the 6 years I've been following the hs game in NKy.

 

Really hard to read much into the HHS freshman team performance. The 2007 freshman team was something like 7-4, then proceeded to go 43-2 with 3 state championships during their varsity years.

That is fine and is very valid. I think he keeps the ship going, my point is the ship is fine for now he has to keep it going at all levels of the program which I'm sure he will. Kids dreamed of playing for Dale, although those at the youth level had to have known it wasn't realistic. Replacing a legend is often a no-way-win situation for anyone, but I think BW can be successful.

How has Highlands freshman teams been the last few seasons? Have they been as good as they had been in the past? That may help in determining if this is the year to beat Highlands compared to other years.

 

 

Simply responding to Redemption's post with my observation. Its not just that they lost, it is how they lost that would be a concern. That was not a physical freshman team last year at HHS.

Last year's Freshman team will have no effect one way or another on this year's 2014 team so maybe let's revisit that team when the 2015 thread comes out.

Bottom line is there is a strong foundation in place and expectations are high every year. The kids know this and if they put in the work and allow the coaches to do their jobs then we will see plenty of running clocks by halftime and the 915 Bar n Grill will be packed early.
