Kentucky 74 Louisville 69

Featured Replies

We can talk about FTs, missed calls, foul trouble, rebounds, etc., but this game came down to Andrew controlling the offense in the second half. UL was able to up the tempo in their favor and UK would bite at times, but Andrew orchestrated beautifully.

"It's not a good ankle injury...let me just put it that way" --- Calipari on Willie's injury

UK usually dominates the boards and didn't in this game. If UK lost could I blame the lack of rebounding for UK or would you demand that we give the Cards respect?

Absolutely... Because that was a key to the game for UK. I said that more than once in the predictions thread... I said UK did what they needed to do to get the win. What should I say that will please you?

Me too. I hated UK playing against him but he was good for college basketball. Extremely fun, really, really good college basketball player IMO.

Will not miss Hancock.

I'm sure you won't; no idea how Hancock wasn't the one with the ball in his hands to end it.

I'm gonna miss seeing Russ play. Dude was pure fun to watch.

Agreed. Man did he put Randle on a poster again.

Jones either takes them over the hump or is the hump.

Was not impressed with him this year. Louisville really missed Dieng this year, but I thought Siva was a bigger absence.

He was asked point blank if he was speaking about himself and he didn't close the door.

:lol2: Okay man.

Everyone will remember Harrison's cold blooded three to give Kentucky the lead for good. However without a very unselfish play by Julius Randle it might have been a different outcome. He drew a triple team and looked to kick it out the whole way. That is the difference in this team the last 6 games. They are playing for each other instead of just for themselves. A month ago Randle would have taken that shot--and no one would have given it a second thought because he's our best player. Tonight he may very well have won the game by not shooting

Also, did anyone notice James Young start to make a choke sign when Louisville missed the free throw when they were down two? He put his hands on his throat and apparently thought better of it and instead of grasping his throat his held his hands right at his neck.

It was a very exciting game to watch. You could tell that neither team wanted to go home. The Cards played like defending National Champions, hats off to them. Hopefully UK can pull another rabbit out of their hat against Michigan Sunday--it will be tough without Cauley Stein. It will be interesting for me, my family is having a baby shower for my wife Sunday, it looks like it will be basketball themed.

Nothing. I'm just enjoying giving you a hard time :D. All in good fun, I'll stop now :thumb:.

I wonder if WCS had an achilles injury.

John Robic is doing the post game show with Tom Leach. Cal skipped out again. Can somebody let Pat Forde know?

Agreed. Man did he put Randle on a poster again.

No doubt. Unreal.

He also did not turn the ball over against their pressure leading to easy baskets.

:lol2: Okay man.

Dude is 60+ so he will retire at some point. Anyway he as a 11-1 record in sweet 16 games.
