January 29, 201412 yr But, yes. I wish he were on UK's team. But like Chris Lofton, let's not pretend he was an elite level prodigy that UK (and a bundle of others) missed. Never said that. Just wondering aloud if UK fans would have liked to have had a solid 4 year player at the point this season. The answer seems to be a resounding no. I'll file it away for the next road game when folks are crying about Harrison again. Keep calm, Tyler whatshisface is coming.
January 29, 201412 yr He's almost certainly going to be a 1,000-point scorer at LSU. I think he was preseason all-SEC too. :thumb: Yep, he is really good. Not denying that. But he has not performed to the level expected this season. His numbers are actually down from last.
January 29, 201412 yr He's averaging 1 turnover a game this season. He averaged 1.9 as a freshman, 1.8 last year, 1.0 this season. Could have sworn I acknowledged that Teague played much better in February and March. Could have sworn I said that. You didn't. I stand corrected on his turnovers though I was talking more off the field.

Didn't he have some problems earlier this season and possibly had to miss some time? I want to say that's true but can't remember for sure.

I think that was last season for skipping some classes. Seems like he missed some games early in the season. I think he has been out of trouble this season.
January 29, 201412 yr Outside of Lebron and KD, I would easily take Davis over anyone to start a franchise. Had he not been injured for a bit he would be getting a lot more PR than he's just now getting. We shall see soon enough and I've heard several pro analyst say after Lebron, Davis will be the be new face. Anthony Davis is not one of the Top 3 players in the League. Period. If you want to start a franchise with him, that's fine, that's your prerogative. Doesn't change the fact that he's not one of three best players in the league. He's not even the best at his position from a standpoint of points and rebounds. How can he be Top 3 in ALL of the League?
January 29, 201412 yr Keep calm, Tyler whatshisface is coming. I know you are completely mocking it, as you should. If I remember UK fans said keep calm the Twins are coming...and well.
January 29, 201412 yr By my count that's 5 now, and a few more to come. This team just isn't very good. Can we start calling him 10 loss Cal now? That's what they did to Tubby. Come on. Tubby was handed the keys to a Ferrari and drove it like Hyundai. He oversaw a collapse into mediocrity. Cal is bringing talent in. There needs to be a better mesh of talented kids staying past their Freshman year, but let's not forget that he got UK to as many elite 8s, final fours, and National Titles as Tubby and did it w/ his own players.

I make this point every time this is mentioned - the team Tubby won the national title with is one of the least talented title winners in the last 25 years.

Combine this statement with the fact that I think many guys were expected to potentially stick around 2-3 years but developed enough to leave because there just isn't as much talent there in the drafts. And I'll always wondered what UK does with an eligible Enes Kanter. He wasn't, so it doesn't matter, but I can't help but wonder.

January 29, 201412 yr Hickey would be a junior point guard at UK right now who knows how to place defense. This is college. We don't have to kick anyone off the team to make room for Hickey 2 years ago. I'm just curious if UK fans would like to have a point guard on their team who knows how to play defense, run an offense, distribute the basketball. Still trying to figure out why he can't make free throws..... I sure would. I also think that Hickey is a better college PG than the last two that have started at UK.

I understand your point, but once his own players were brought in, they sniffed a title only 2xs. How many times did they get bounced in the second round?
