I remember reading about him in CatsPause after his Florida camp. What are his college options?

Classic example......I'd take Joe Tronzo (DL - Trinity '04) in a matchup against Corey Zirbel (OL - Murray '04?) everyday of the week. Zirbel is 6'7" tall, 300 lbs with an enormous amount of potential and he signed with Michigan. Tronzo is 5'11" 250 lbs and I don't think any D-1 colleges seriously recruited him.

 

And I would bet 1 million dollars against a donut that Tronzo wins that battle everytime. And there are a lot more instances just like that in high school football.

Correct me if Im wrong, but KY has NO QB's that are going to play right now? A perfect choice to replace Cessna, Fidler, and Burke is Ashland QB Ian Holbrook.

I am amazed that Ron Blume didnt make the roster. His stats were incredible in a very tough AAA District. There is no way you dont find a place for this kid on the team.

I think Quentin Morgan(QB from Leslie Co.)should be added to the team at Qb.

 

I also think Ron Blume got the shaft. How in the world do you put Matt Maynard and Jimmy Chaffins on a roster in front of Ron Blume? Maynards from a winning program, that produced 3 1000 yard rushers, Chaffins had great numbers, competition is a ?, but Blume got his numbers playing in a tough 3A conference.

They already have 2 QB's so 3 will not happen unless they have another Qb withdraw. Secondly, Maynard and Chaffins were not selected as RB's. That is because they can play other positions. It isn't like these two kids were selected because they were the best runningback or even better than Blume but because Blume didn't play another position. If you read the previous post, I asked a question earlier about Blume. I asked has he ever played WR and could you see him playing WR at 5'9 or however tall he is over UT's 6'5 Db's.

I'm kind of surprised not to see TK Guess on the Roster.

 

Me to, that kid sure has a nack for catching a ball, he was alot of fun to watch in HS, has he signed to play in college anywhere?

How can the guy who lead the state in rushing not make the team. Ron Blume deserves to be on this team! He lead in 3a by almost 500 yds total. I am honestly hurt by Ron not being named to the team. If any kid deserves it, Ron does! He would make the state proud and he would be a great player for this game.

I agree, I wouldve put Blume on there before Matt Maynard. Before all you Belfry fans hyperventilate let me explain, Matt is a great back and a great athlete and seems like a good kid. Even you pondcreekers should see that the leading rusher in the state should be on the all-star team.

Matt Maynard was put on the team as a DB, as was Jimmy Chafin.

 

Why should there be a comparison between these two? Blume didn't even play D.

 

BTW....I've seen the backs on this team play, as I have Blume, and I have no problem with the selections.
