Dinner: what did you have?

Featured Replies

I hope to make shrimp and grits soon. Was yours good. Did the grits have cheese in them?

Best shrimp and grits dish I ever ate was in South Carolina. The wife's version is a close second, though.

Bacon and tomato sandwiches, baked potato and more farmer's market broccoli tonight.

Top sirloin rare and a salad.

They were pretty good. Just a little cheese mixed in. Had some herb on the top that was pretty good. Charlotte airport. Don't remember the name of the restaurant.

Grilled some shrimp with Old Bay seasoning. Put it over pasta with broccoli and parmesan cheese.

Today we are having grilled cod fish with a mango salsa. Roasted veggies and salad of cucumber, onions, tomatoes in a vinaigrette dressing with fresh basil and feta cheese.

Persian marinated chicken breasts, baked potatoes, and green beans. The Persian marinade was interesting and very good for being as simple as it was.

(3) Tablespoons lemon juice

(3) Teaspoons olive oil

(1) Teaspoon cinnamon

(1/2) Teaspoon salt

(1/2) Teaspoon turmeric

(1/4) Teaspoon black pepper

I just mixed up the ingredients in a small bowl and then dumped them into a 1-gallon Ziplock bag, added three boneless skinless chicken breasts, and let them marinade for about 45 minutes. Then I cooked them uncovered in the oven on 400° until they got up to temp. I'm sure they would do great on the grill as well.

Going to be hitting up either the Tin Roof or Holy Grail tonight before the Reds game.

Just returned from the graduation party of the son of a friend. Pulled pork, vegetarian pizza, pasta salad, the works.

I shall soon be in a recumbent position.

Baked Chicken, fresh lettuce out of my garden and wilted with green onions.Cooked cabbage, snow peas and fruit for dessert.

Salmon patties, fried taters and broccoli. Dessert was homemade fresh strawberry pie.
