This was the year for another school to rise up and Male with that nasty screen pass has done just that.

I do feel bad for the team that Male fans couldn't even fill their side of the stands for them.. and I do wish the Male school administration had even a bit of control over their students.... but I'm sure that's the grumpy old man in me.

Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be a trend of Trinity fans complaining about other school's students. Not saying that it's not deserved, just that it seems to be a theme. Ballard and St. Xavier in basketball last year, Manual and now Male in football this year. Maybe it's something about Trinity that brings out the worst in opposing fans.

I think it's boys in general. Cov Caths boys yelled and beat the stands while our band took the field. They yelled and threw stuff at passers by. It's any rivalry and its young boys. It's kind of a right of passage to act like idiots. Isn't that what being a kid is all about?

And I do realize that in big rivalry games like Trinity-St. Xavier, there's usually ugly behavior. Also, I definitely don't agree with Manual's chants and think that the number of people discussing it was indicative of the fact that something went on.

This was the first year I can recall Beatty using an "athlete" at quarterback. Bonafon had been a wide receiver previously, correct? Obviously Bonafon is a terrific player but is it possible that the offense wasn't a dominant as usual because there wasn't an old-school Trinity signal caller? Or am I way off.

I think Bonofon would have been better at RB. Though the best QB may be the freshman starter. Interesting to see who emerges next season behind center.

Yes and no. It makes me cringe to hear kids making my Alma Mater look bad. But then again, if I rewind about 10 years and I could see myself being one of those morons.

Maybe Beatty isn't the guru of coaching after all.

The only losses to Kentucky teams were recorded versus Male-2.

Trinity finished 6-6 with losses to Ensworth of Nashville, Colerain of Cincinnati, Moeller of Cincinnati, Lawrence Cental of Indianapolis area and Male twice.
