Congratulations, Male and Alabama Larry's kicker. Finish the season strong. To the Trinity seniors: You are prepared for successful lives, take this season and let it make you stronger. To next year players: Male will still be ready to play. Male has lots of players returning. Prepare yourselves.

I think it's boys in general. Cov Caths boys yelled and beat the stands while our band took the field. They yelled and threw stuff at passers by. It's any rivalry and its young boys. It's kind of a right of passage to act like idiots. Isn't that what being a kid is all about?

 

It IS a part of being a kid... most kids left unsupervised will do silly/stupid things.... my comment that I think took us down this path was that the administration at Male (in this case) did nothing (visible) to monitor/police the activity. There is no doubt in my mind that some schools (Trinity, St. X, CAL, DeSales... and a few more) make it known to the students that such behavior is not acceptable and that there will be consequences, THEN make the effort to ensure the craziness is kept in check. It's something that sets those schools apart from the rest. Perhaps it's like a "Jeep thing", some BGPers just wouldn't understand.

 

Now back to our props to Male for a great win!

Props to the Bulldogs. A very puzzling Obamacare performance by the Rocks. Nothing they did worked....

This was the year for another school to rise up and Male with that nasty screen pass has done just that.

I do feel bad for the team that Male fans couldn't even fill their side of the stands for them.. and I do wish the Male school administration had even a bit of control over their students.... but I'm sure that's the grumpy old man in me.

 

First of all Male had alot more fans both times we played T, second of all I do not understand this statement at all. I have had 2 children graduate from Male and know all the adminstrators, they do have control over their students, I went to all of Males games this year and there were no problems of bad behavior at all. They just hang out around the fence and socialize as I saw many T students down there as well. I would really like to know what needs to be taken control of and maybe I can relay the message. Seems like a very eliteist statement to make or sour grapes.

Suggestion number 1: Students that are allowed on the field before the game to lead the team in with their flags should not be allowed to taunt the visiting team as they walk onto the field. Male's flag corps was allowed to do this from the end zone. They literally got up in the faces of the Trinity players.

 

Suggestion number 2: A little crowd control should be enacted so that the Male fans (many of them adults, not just students) can't linger outside the opponents locker room for no other reason then to spout off as the team enters the field.
