Football season is to much of a commitment for 4 games! If I was a parent of a player that suffered through this season without opportunities I would be mad as hell! Do only injured kids count what does this say for team unity? CCH had the athletes to get this done! Rob Peter to pay Paul, congrats on your win at Ryle! The CCH program lost respect with this decision. I was quiet on the first cancellation but this smells?

Does anybody remember a few years back when Highlands was down on their luck with QB's and they moved Carter New who was the Frosh QB up to play Junior Varsity? I remember watching him play the frosh game on Thursday only to come back and play the entire game on Sat as well. You just have to roll with the punches in these situations.

 

I have to agree with Clyde here, you scale back the playbook and find somebody who is willing to get the job done for you. I would almost bet that their was someone on that JV team willing to take the bull by the horns and give it a try. Oh wait, the McGinniss kid did last night at Ryle. If I was a parent of a CCH JV player I would be very upset and probably make a phone call to the administration to find out why my son only played 4 games. I am sure the Football fees were collected before the season started but most of all.....the offseason training and sweat those boys put in and for just 4 games.

I would be too. A JV player is at every practice all summer long just like the varsity players yet hardly get to see the field on Friday Nights. So they look forward to JV games all week long just to have the4 opportunity to play and to have their parents and friends and girlfriends etc. get a chance to see them play. then you find out you are only playing 4 times....what a shame.

From the looks of the "gag" order that is on place, they are. But it has the perception of running away from the issue. I have to ask again as Bird faithful, why do we care? I guess because its the right thing to do. Not let a couple administration decisions get in the way of a great rivalry. This is just adding to it.

As an outsider looking in who doesn't have first-hand knowledge of the details, here's my take on the situation in one word.

As a CovCath fan I am extremely disappointed for the kids more than anything.
