What about Mike Sciosia? I think I would be in favor of him coming to Cincy. After this year, he'd probably like a change also.

 

On Max and Marcellous they had the Angels beat writer on the show and he said there were some raise eyebrows at Sciosia's end of the season press conference when he said, "see you down the road" instead of "see you next season". They seem to feel like change is coming in Anaheim. He may be available.

I'll toss a name back out there that somebody else mentioned in one of the other threads...Bob Brenly. He's 59, originally from Ohio, and has managed a team to a WS championship. And he was a catcher, to boot. Any chances the Reds can pull him out of the broadcasting booth?

I think Ausmus will be a very good manager.....for the Cubs in 2014.

 

Cubs have already made it clear that they have NO interest in Ausmus. Joe Girardi is the guy the Cubs are after and from everything I've read online it looks like he's wanting to go back to the Cubs..

Agree. He is enjoying retirement. One of the richest players because the guy never spends his money and he made a lot throughout his career.

Fair enough....I don't believe Girardi will end up there, but oh well.
