Really seems like the community has showed a great deal of support towards Office Ellis family and the police department which is great. Hopefully that support helps lead to some answers as well.

Anytime that there iks a funeral for a slain police officer there is the "final call". It always breaks me up. This one was no different.

Hard to listen to them calling him Out of service, but it's a noble way to go. You hate to see stuff like this happen, And it's sobering. You can never let your guard down or become complacent. Unfortunately there are people who criticize officers for not being relaxed enough around them or "treating them like a criminal" when they don't know the citizen from Adam's house cat, and say "that rarely ever happens." Next time you want to critique an officer for being too "tactical" and untrusting of you, remember it only takes one time for him being complacent on a call for his life to be taken...

I'm pretty much with you. If I were a cop, I know I'd be singling these turdbags out. If one of them picked their nose and flicked a booger on the ground...they'd be getting a littering fine.

Very true.

I know it's not any more right than what happened to the officer, but if that was my son, I would reduce the number of the BMG sequentially one by one.
