August 15, 201313 yr It really doesn't matter what the Chief thinks or who the Chief's boss is, since the State Police are investigating the murder. I'm not saying you are insinuating anything, but I've read comments on the news stories pages that insinuate the Chief doesn't think this guy is legit simply because he's related to the mayor. No not insinuating that at all, just that the Chief wouldn't say anything about this suspect in particular unless it was 100% solid due to his uncle.

All they were guilty of was making a dumb video for the internet. This Saturday incident at the field party is the biggest caper to date.

They might be a part of a gang events in the showers there but probably not the kind of gang activity they're looking for.... The fact that they would claim to be a part of a police officers cold blooded murder is just sick. I'd bet a lot of Kentucky residents would offer to pay their bus fare to ship that "gang" to one of those prisons.
August 26, 201313 yr I am very late to the game on this thread. Yesterday marked the 3-month anniversary of Jason's assassination. Jason was a friend who was a volunteer coach in the Little League I run. I didn't see this mentioned, but Jason was a professional ballplayer in the Cincinatti Reds organization, with the Class A Billings Mustangs. He never spoke about that or bragged in any way. The BMG did not do this. I grew up in Oakland, CA and I have seen gangs. This is not a gang. They are merely punk kids and providing them any more media coverage only inflates what they are and does disservice to Jason. The police have no significant leads unfortunately. The local legal community generally believes this has the marks of an inside job, perhaps with additional ties to the I-65 drug trade out of Chicago or Detroit. That stuff runs through here with regularity unfortunately.
August 26, 201313 yr We happen to pull off on the interchange where this happened in the wee hours of Sunday morning to change drivers on way back from Bowling Green. We drove right by the numerous crosses on the ramp. Very dark and desolate interchange - even for Bluegrass Parkway. The ramp is hidden from view of both the parkway and the road above - ideal ambush location. It was very eerie - and sad realizing what happened there.

November 4, 201312 yr My thoughts exactly, Guru....was hoping to open this up and see ARRESTS MADE! I think it was some lone psycho, going for the thrill of the kill and he may or may not ever strike again. Basing that on nothing more than watching too much TV. So sad for his wife and children.
