Rookie Fitness (Just Do It!)

Did some Burpees with my workout for the first time today. Not too bad.

I'm disappointed in you. I thought The Fat Club had a solid 3 members, but I guess it's just up to me & PP92 to carry that torch.

Looks like you're eating for two now! :D

Nothing better than the treadmill at the gym and watching Duke get the crap kicked out of them. Life is good.

I can think of a lot of things better than that

He didn't give us a warning or anything. This wound cuts pretty deep.

If only I had the metabolism of a 6 year old.

Did week 3 day 1 of C25K. Randomly sprinted for 2 minutes at the end because I was feeling so good. Endurance is certainly getting better, just need to keep an eye on my shins and knees, ice packs are my friends.

Awesome!

Off day, baby! I aein't doin' nuthin'

Same here. I have gone 6 six days in a row with a couple of those days doubling up.

Tomorrow I am going to do an indoor tri of swimming for 30 minutes, biking an hour, and running for 45 minutes.

I know it's going to be harder, but you should do your cardio at the end of your workout.

I'm a true rookie with the language. I only do cardio every other day. I did complete my mile today. I know it was a small goal but nonetheless one I'm happy I made.

Didnt do anything this morning because I had to leave for Louisville at 4:30. Got back in time to make the 4:30 class at crossfit. Today we did 3 rounds for time of 10 clean and jerks at 135#s followed by 400 meter run.

I am beyond excited. Even though I haven't been back to the doctor, I rewarded myself for a stressful workweek by going ahead and joining my new gym! My doc had already approved treadmills and ellipticals. I did a round of light resistance machines, treadmill, then machines, elliptical, then ended with machines and treadmill again. It felt amazing!

I noticed that someone mentioned earlier doing all cardio at the end. I assume that means that I probably would have been better off doing my three circuits first, then doing my treadmill and elliptical?

Either way, just getting back to working out feels great and I thought that I would share with you all! I know that it's not in the same ballpark as what you are doing, but maybe I'll graduate to that someday.

Congrats. Remember to listen to your body. Don't over do it right out of the gate. Overtraining messes w the immune system something fierce.
