January 30, 201313 yr Go get a large milkshake somewhere. That might help. Maybe some fries & a burger too. One thing I've always prided myself on is providing sound health & dieting advice.
January 30, 201313 yr Reading through this thread makes me tired & in need of a water break. Better make it a coke with a few cookies to get your sugar levels up.

January 30, 201313 yr My company has us doing a remodel of one of our stores and working nights has screwed with my gym time but I made myself get up and go today. Completed day 2 of the c25k program and then finished by taking my mile down from 12 minutes to 10 minutes.

I'm very interested in running the pig half marathon. First I'm going to give this running thing a week or 2 of running every other day. If the knees feel good then I'm signing up!

If the knees feel good then I'm signing up! If I were you, I'd follow Hal Higden's prep page. He breaks it down for beginners, novice, intermediate, and advanced. You may want to start training now, b/c I believe that beginners need 16 weeks. Also, he alots days for weights and cross training (think swimming, raquetball, basketball, skiing, whatever). If you have questions on weights, let me know.
