January 27, 201313 yr Sunday's are usually a do nothing day for me but I have to be out of town all day tomorrow and won't get a chance to workout. So I went and did my 5/3/1 squat day this afternoon. When I got to the Y I remembered why I don't like to go on Sunday's, place was packed.
January 27, 201313 yr Just finished up at the gym an my lite gray shirt had some lite gray spots in it when I was done the rest were dark with sweat dropping off. I did legs and did a lot of different stuff. Since I've started running I noticed some weakness/pain in my groin and hip so I'm even hitting the "chick machines" and doing inner and outer thigh stuff. I did lower back and core. Then my 30 minutes of C25K followed by two sessions of jump rope and finished with a few minutes of stretching. Now I'm sitting in my chair icing my shins. I will say this, usually I wake up and work out on an empty stomach with just my NO Xplode and that's it so up til today that's all I'd been doing on running days. Well we were going out for my grandmas birthday so today I ended up running about 2 hours after having ate with the fam at Texas Roadhouse. WOW running on a semi full stomach was awful. I was belching almost every ten seconds trying to keep from throwing up. I got it done but ya not gonna do that again.
January 28, 201313 yr Just my situp program yesterday and a day off today. Serious question guys, my strength training equipment is in my basement, does it matter if its really cold when you work out? Thinking about stopping my home workouts and only going to the gym until it warms up.

Don't just dive in to the heavy stuff right off that bat but that should be your rule of thumb no matter where you lift.

Are there any supplements or "workout enhancers" people recommend?
January 28, 201313 yr I always take something in the morning before I lift. I've tried nano vapor, no xplode, jack3d, neuro core, and currently taking noxipro. Jack is my favorite but they quit making the one I was using and came out with a new formula which I haven't tried. Noxipro is probably the strongest but gives me a crash a few hours after taking. NO Xplode I really like as well. The nano and neuro core I wouldn't waste my money on. When my noxi pro is gone I will try to find more of the jack I like, if I can't find any not sure what I will get. Other than the pre workout stuff I don't take anything else.

January 28, 201313 yr This is good to know. I definitely don't need to compromise my immunity. How many days a week would you recommend? I really am not qualified to answer this one for you. I'd suggest making a plan and taking it to your doctor. I would think that 3 days a week, but not going crazy, would be ok, but like I said, you should plan that out with him/her. Just remember, patience. You have to progress and adapt, not shock, your system. Everyone wants that shock factor and they fizzle or burn out. You want to be doing this for the rest of your life, at least that's how I look at it.
January 28, 201313 yr This is good to know. I definitely don't need to compromise my immunity. How many days a week would you recommend? It depends on what you're doing. I workout 5 times a week. However, once in a great while I do feel fatigued which is a sign of overtraining. i will take a couiple of days off to recharge the batteries. Nutrition is key

January 28, 201313 yr :thumb: Amazing Job! Was wondering how you were doing and when you were going to check in with us. Still doing Insanity? Haven't lately but with work and everything I've been really busy. I've stayed on my diet which is i haven't had a pop in a month, no junk snacking, watching portion sizes, calorie intake, etc. I'm also in a basketball league that just started so that's kept me busy as well.
January 28, 201313 yr I saw you mentioned NO Xplode. Are there any supplements or "workout enhancers" people recommend? I really like NO. I tried Jacked bc a guy at GNC got me to buy it(I returned it) that was back when I still shopped at GNC. Now I will say this I'm not sure if something changed in their formula but sometimes when I take NO my face tingles, I've read that it is a random side effect but can remember what contributes to it. I like NO for two reasons, 1 being I feel like I can go forever lifting, at times you literally don't want to quit and 2 because I don't feel dead after the gym. More like refreshed or "clean"
