December 8, 201213 yr TT is 58. UC seems like a place he could have very good success. Wonder what the odds are that he stays 10 years and retires if UC takes care of him.
December 8, 201213 yr TT is 58. UC seems like a place he could have very good success. Wonder what the odds are that he stays 10 years and retires if UC takes care of him. People are saying that this could just be his stepping stone to get back to the SEC. But his wife is from dearborn. If cincy gets into ACC I could see him staying around.
December 8, 201213 yr What was the driving force for him to leave Lubbock? Forgot to add a word but its too late to edit.
December 8, 201213 yr What was his record at Tech? They were very average weren't they? Big East will inflate his record though.
December 8, 201213 yr UC must be at least close to a top 10 job if they can lure TT there. I wonder what his contract terms are.
December 8, 201213 yr I have to say this is one impressive move by Whit. He sure earned his pay with this one. The best thing is how fast he made it happen. A great hire for UC.

It is definitely a top 10 job for coaches who are looking to be successful while at the same time positioning theirselves for a top job after a few years after UC. Which is not a knock on UC by saying they are a stepping stone job, because that is better than what UK football currently is. UC at this rate will always be able to very good coaches because they know it can get them to even bigger places. Its a great position for UC to be in. Great hire!
December 8, 201213 yr Tuberville's wife ran a red light last year, in Lubbock, and crashed into an elderly couple resulting in injuries to the driver and the passenger. The elderly man died a few days later. I am not sure if that ever went to trial or if they were sued or whatnot but I would imagine the Tuberville's won't miss Lubbock. Tuberville tried to get involved with the UK job. This kind of flips with Jones. Concerns about Jones heading south and Tuberville heading north. Safe hire for UC.

There were never charges brought against his wife...

Thats interesting that he tried to get involved with the UK job.... I wonder why Barnhart didn't try to target him then as he already had a wealth of experience as a head coach and had success to boot as well.

If he actually had interest in the UK job and wasn't a priority target then Barnhart is an idiot...
December 9, 201213 yr If he actually had interest in the UK job and wasn't a priority target then Barnhart is an idiot... Agreed. If he actually did try to get involved then I really would love to know what went through Barnhart's mind when he decided not to pursue that avenue. Regardless its a GREAT get for Cincinnati and can only help improve their situation there.
