Let's be real about this situation. UC didn't speak to Tuberville until Saturday morning. That alone doesn't fit the sensationalism at hand. If they did, it would have been shortly after Butch Jones bolted for UT and not 15 hours later, right? If Tuberville didn't show up at all to the recruiting dinner, you have a legit story. For him to eat dinner and leave early is something head coaches do in football at every big recruiting weekend from coast to coast. That is the reality of the situation...

My guess is there will be a suit at some point. Sadly, this isn't the only case of fraud involving college coaches. Ask BCG about it. He got burned TWICE.

I didn't see your post about him not talking to UC until the next day until after I posted. Hypothetically though if he got a text from his agent during dinner that an agreement had been reached with UC wouldn't the prudent thing to do be to excuse himself and leave?

It would be if that was the case. From what I have been told from multiple sources that wasn't how it went down Friday night though...

It was a recruit, not anyone from TT. As far as I know the other recruits and coaches there have not said anything publicly confirming or denying it took place.
