December 12, 201213 yr If the facts (as LABS presented them) are even relatively close to accurate, it's highly unlikely the civil claim was dropped. Perhaps it was settled & closed, but not dismissed. I didn't say it was dismissed...
December 12, 201213 yr FSU RB and ST coach Eddie Gran has taken the OC job at UC. Jimbo has a lot of hiring to do...
December 13, 201213 yr Tommy Tuberville Left Texas Tech Recruits at the Dinner Table – Literally – to Take the Cincinnati Coaching Job [uPDATE] | The Big Lead Leaves recruits hanging and abuses a coach.. This might be interesting.
December 13, 201213 yr Leaves recruits hanging and abuses a coach.. This might be interesting. Interesting if you like sensationalist journalism. No need for the real story when you are looking for page views and site subscriptions... :thumb:
December 13, 201213 yr So he didn't get up and leave in the middle of dinner without informing anyone?
December 13, 201213 yr So he didn't get up and leave in the middle of dinner without informing anyone? We know he didn't inform one recruit. Did he inform any of the 8-10 assistants there at the time? Any of the other recruits? Tuberville said he had dinner and shortly after that left his staff with the recruits. Sounds pretty shady, huh? Keep in mind this was around 12 hours before any contact with the UC AD...
December 13, 201213 yr Not shady but it shows little class if he got up and left like the article says he did. That's why I'm asking.

No need for the real story when you are looking for page views and site subscriptions... :thumb: While it made for a funny story isn't that what he should have done? After all, if he had accepted the job, stayed for dinner then had one of the recruits follow him to UC wouldn't that have looked a lot worse? Then he could have been accused of trying to recruit a player to UC when he was still at TT.

Then he could have been accused of trying to recruit a player to UC when he was still at TT. He didn't speak to UC until the next morning, so one has nothing to do with the other. He stayed for a while and left the assistants that were involved with the recruits there. He did stay for dinner though, so that doesn't hold up either...
December 13, 201213 yr Not shady but it shows little class if he got up and left like the article says he did. That's why I'm asking. It shows the Texas Tech site got what they were looking for out of a one sided story that wasn't an accurate telling of what happened. Worked for them hook, line and sinker...
December 13, 201213 yr It shows the Texas Tech site got what they were looking for out of a one sided story that wasn't an accurate telling of what happened. Worked for them hook, line and sinker... How do you know it wasn't an accurate telling of what happened?
December 13, 201213 yr How do you know it wasn't an accurate telling of what happened? Because I have heard from multiple parties there what actually happened...
December 13, 201213 yr Sounds like there may be a civil suit in the works or in progress. Weird to see that Tuberville's wife was not cited for the incident. What was interesting to see while I googled the incident was that there is a lawsuit for fraud against Tommy Tuberville and one of his former partners. Is that case still active?
December 13, 201213 yr Because I have heard from multiple parties there what actually happened... Interesting that nothing has come out to dispute the claim. I would expect that someone would say something, particularly the assistant coaches there.
