Andrews wouldn't make any more difference for UK than being a Rafael Little or Derrick Locke -- a decent RB with zero depth behind him with zero chance of making a large-scale impact. It takes more than just one player to fix decades of ineptitude. It takes a willingness of fans to be thinking about things other than "When's Midnight Madness?"

I just wish I could quit hearing that we (UK) are the third best team in the state. Not giving Eastern a look at 3 is a major injustice.

Not seeing the big "upset" people keep trying to play here. UK was less than a TD favorite and playing at home (which counts for a few points). It was a virtual toss-up. The Tops lost at Alabama 35-0. We all knew before yesterday that is around or better than what UK could do against the Tide.

It was at about this time in Coach Brooks tenure that everyone was calling for his head and he eventually was able to at least turn the program around to some extent. Can Joker do the same? Does Barnhart want to give him the time to do so? He won't fire him midseason but it should be interesting to see what is decided at the end of the year. Unless they can get a bigtime big name coach to come in here I'm not sure firing Joker is the answer Lets face it, UK has never been a bigtime football program. 7 or 8 wins has always kept the natives relatively happy in Lexington.

Hindsight is 20/20, but it is hard to believe that we couldn't find a scholarship for an athlete like Antonio Andrews at UK.

They've had a pretty solid run starting about this time last year. Willie T is really doing a job in Bowling Green. Hope they hold on to him.

The Brooks vs Joker comparison is a TERRIBLE one. Brooks wasn't winning because UK was under NCAA sanctions. Joker isn't winning because he couldn't keep the momentum going.

 

You're seriously saying that firing a coach who takes a 7 win team and makes them a 2 win team within three years isn't the answer? Maybe if you're a Card (or Topper) fan.

In Rich Brooks best year at UK what was their record in the conference? It really doesn't matter who UK hires they aren't going to compete in the SEC annually in football.

The good news is Kentucky has been picked to finish third in the Sun Belt Conference next year.
