October 30, 201411 yr Cooked dinner at my home for Adolph Rupp. That's gotta be the best I've seen in the thread. Reminds me of some story's my stepfather has told me of his childhood in Paris, Ky. His father was in the tobacco industry, the company would bring in big wigs in the industry and it was his mother would host dinner parties and such for them. In return they received a few 5th row center court tickets at Rupp Arena.
October 30, 201411 yr Met Tom Petty and all the Heartbreakers in 2001 after their show at Rupp. I had gotten backstage passes from a client. Considering the fact that they have been my favorite band for decades, that was quite a thrill. They were all very "down to earth" and the conversation was very enjoyable.

October 30, 201411 yr I've got a few.... Played college baseball with current Cardinals hitting coach John Mabrey. Played high school baseball with and against current Reds minor league manager Delino Deshields. Played against many former major leaguers in college, too many to list (well I could, but many are not big names, and the list would get boring pretty quick) Went to high school with Teri Polo (Ben Stillers wife in the "Meet the Fockers" movies Got to hang out with Paul Stanley ffrom KISS for several hours at a company event in Vegas. Much cooler than I expected. Stood in line at airport security with Bob Huggins. Not a very friendly guy. Hung out with and became drinking buddies Mike Golic several times in the early 90's when the Eagles held their training camp at my College. A super cool guy. I also met Jim McMahon, and have a couple stories about him. Let's just say Buddy Ryan didn't tell the whole story as to why he missed a preseason game....it was not because of flu like symptoms.

October 30, 201411 yr I have a :poop:pot full of Reds and Bengals that live on my FedEx route. Today had a delivery for the Bengals Marvin Jones (very, very nice guy) "shoot the:poop:" with him all the time. BTW, he's agreed to donate his time for an upcoming NewCath fundraiser. :thumb: Also, lives one street over from the Steelers Mike Mitchell. Cris Collinsworth used to date my cousin and would always be at family functions back in his playing days, when ever I see him the subject comes up from time to time. October 30, 201411 yr I've served several reds and bengals players working the vip bar at riverbend, Eifert, Gresham, Bailey, Bruce, Schumaker, LeCure, Mesoroco, Cozart. Gresham was hitting on my girlfriend the entire time, Meso was tanked lol. Tom Jackson was there at a Jonas Bros. concert once. Chad Kroeger helped me carry a beer tub during set up before a show. I've had pics taken with Brandon Phillips downtown, ran into him two nights in a row last summer. And with George Clooney when he was in town in Augusta.

October 31, 201411 yr Got to spend some time @ Wildcat Lodge during my high school years, because a friend of mine was a manager on the team. Pretty big deal for me at the time. Got some pretty sweet gear out of the deal, including one of those Starter type Converse coats that nearly swallowed me whole. Still have that jacket somewhere, as well as Nazr Mohammad's sweatshirt. I also met mcpapa at a Bracken County basketball game one time. I got to sit with him at a Bracken game once and i was also granted permission to take in not one but TWO 10th region tournament games with him and Randy Parker!!! :thumb: #stoked
October 31, 201411 yr How does one end up in Ky from Delaware? :lol2: I get that question all the time as well as the follow up statement "I've never met anyone from Delaware before!". I met my wife, who is originally from this area in college. She really wanted to move back to this area after we had been living in Philadelphia for a few years, so we picked up and moved.
October 31, 201411 yr I have met Brandon Phillips twice. Once I just got an autograph and then when he was at the Dixie-SK game two weeks ago I got to chat with him for a few minutes and get a picture. Was a really nice guy. Met Antwan Odom while out one night. He gave me his phone number but I've never used it.
