Ashland vs. Capital (WV) updates

After one Ashland leads 16-10. I'll try and post updates when possible but am busy today so likely just end of quarter scores.

25-15 Ashland with just over 4 minutes left in the half.

Both of these teams play the same style. Run, run, and run some more, with scrappy defense. It led to little scoring early on but Ashland is starting to find their groove on offense and causing Capital problems with turnovers.

This Capital team is ranked 3rd in West Virginia's largest class I believe but they are also very young. I believe Dickey Martin said they graduated 8 or 9 players last season. This is their first game of the season as well, I could see them being a different team in a couple of months.
