After one Ashland leads 16-10. I'll try and post updates when possible but am busy today so likely just end of quarter scores.

10 Capital turnovers with 5:30 left in the half. 23-15 Ashland with 5 minutes left in the half.

25-15 Ashland with just over 4 minutes left in the half.

Both of these teams play the same style. Run, run, and run some more, with scrappy defense. It led to little scoring early on but Ashland is starting to find their groove on offense and causing Capital problems with turnovers.

32-15 Ashland now with a couple of minutes left in the half.

35-21 Ashland with a minute left in the half. Capital is starting to get the ball to their big man, Brooks and its helping them get their offense going.

Ashland with a layup at the buzzer. Ashland 39-21 at halftime.

This Capital team is ranked 3rd in West Virginia's largest class I believe but they are also very young. I believe Dickey Martin said they graduated 8 or 9 players last season. This is their first game of the season as well, I could see them being a different team in a couple of months.

45-25 Ashland with 6 minutes left in the third.

54-33 Ashland with 3 minutes left in the third.

Ashland 62-41 at the end of the third.

Ashland 69-49 with 5 minutes left. Looks like the Tomcats will get their 2,000th win today.

Capital has 17 turnovers. Ashland ball pressure is really good.

Ashland 71-50 2:21 to go.

Ashland 71-50 Final. Ashland is one of 10 basketball programs in the world with 2k wins, per Dickey Martin.
