Juggs avenge an earlier season overtime loss to our Mustangs.

Lloyd junior Treshawn Cody stayed out of foul trouble in this one, and led all scorers with 31 points. 13 of those coming from the FT line.

The Mustangs were out-muscled early, falling behind 27-17 by halftime. We represented ourselves much better in the third quarter showing some fight by outscoring the Juggs 16-9 and cutting the Mustangs deficit to one-possession at 36-33 with 8 minutes remaining in the game. We would later cut it to two, but the winners hit their free-throws down the stretch, collecting 19 points via the charity stripe in the final stanza.

On the night the Juggs owned a 26/34 to 12/19 advantage from the free-throw line.

In addition to Cody having 31, Zaire Monroe contributed 12 and Tyler Szabo 10 for the winners.

J.D. Schumacher led the Mustangs with 18 points, 15 of those coming in the contentious second half. Ethan Eilerman added 10.

Neither coaching staff was happy with the officials as each head coach was slapped with a Technical foul, in a game that saw three Mustangs uncharacteristically foul out.

Cody was named the Player of the Game, while Ethan Eilerman (BB) and Zaire Monroe (L) were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Mustangs will make our next appearance next Thursday in the Henry County Tournament when we play Garrard County in the 7pm opening round game.
