Reds at Dodgers (5/10 - 5/13)

Reds open up a 4 game series in Los Angeles tonight.

They enter the series riding a robust 2 game winning streak. In all seriousness, they've gotten some very solid pitching out of their young arms lately.

Tonight: Mahle vs. Buehler (should be an outstanding pitching matchup)

Friday: Finnegan vs. Maeda (Finnegan's last start?)

Saturday: Bailey vs. Stripling

Sunday: Castillo vs. Hill

I wish you the best @UKMustangFan. The last Reds thread I was allowed to start was a Dodger one in 2017. I was sent to the minors and not allowed to return.

LA has not been good to the Reds.

Sal Romano: 2-2 with a 2.33 ERA, with a 1.33 WHIP and 19 Ks over 27 innings in his last 5 starts.

Tyler Mahle: 1-2 with a 3.47 ERA, with a 1.16 WHIP and 28 Ks over 23.1 innings in his last 4 starts.

Luis Castillo: 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA, with a 1.24 WHIP and 14 Ks over 11.2 innings in his last 2 starts.

Amir Garrett: 0-0 with a 1.83 ERA with a 1.07 WHIP and 22 Ks over 19.2 innings this year out of the bullpen.

Not surprising at all.

Votto screws up another play on defense by ranging way to far over in front of Scooter. Stay in your lane, Joey!!!! He did that a lot when Phillips was here, also.

By not getting that easy out, Votto costs the Reds a run and Mahle about 15 pitches.

GEEZ, Votto!!! Just screwed up a bunt play and threw the ball into centerfield. Mahle going to sue him for non support.

Mahle pulls Votto out again but has thrown 63 pitches in two innings. Reds down 1-0. Umpire giving Mahle no corners at all.

Votto on got one error on those plays. I don't understand how they score these games anymore. Reds up 4-1 in the 9th.

Nice win to start the road trip. The young pitching is starting to throw the ball well. Hopefully offense can continue to put runs up and give the pitching some support.

I am tired of watching the Reds play from behind all of the time!!

Saw that Winker had his best Joey Votto impression last night by trolling the fans. I wouldn't mind at all if the Reds completely adopted this identity.

Really impressed with the way Mahle battled last night. I think he's gonna be a good one.
