The report says the decision between Mularkey and the Titans is “mutual,” although it’s hard to see Mularkey walking away unless he knew he didn’t have the confidence of team ownership. The Titans’ brass wasn’t sold on Mularkey, and now they’ll look for a new head coach, while Mularkey will hope some other team is interested in a coach coming off a playoff win.

Josh McDaniels has to be the odds on favorite here. Roster is perfectly constructed for him IMO.

Hue Jackson goes 1-30 as a head coach and doesnt get canned.

Sounds like they offered him an extension on the condition he replace the OC. He balked, so they terminated the relationship.

OC was bad and failed to develop MM.

As a Titans fan I see this as a step in the right direction. Although I hope whoever they hire keeps the legend Dick Labeau on as DC.

Not a chance. Although I think he wasn't as much of a problem as the GM was. The Giants could have kept winning with Coughlin if Reese had been replaced.

Eh. Several years in a row with no playoff appearances. It was time to move on from him and Reese probably. Keeping Reese and hiring McAdoo was the worst possible decision though :lol2:.
