Hard fought game by both teams ... the Jackets had their chances ... poor clock management killed them late on 1st and goal at the 9 ... two delay of games and one out of a timeout ?? Not sure what was going there ... proud of the Jackets though especially people saying running clock , sorry to disappoint those guys .... good luck to the Greyhounds the rest of the season and keep fighting Jackets !!!

Big rivalry game. These two always play their guts out against each other. Glad to see it was a good competitive game.

Now how do you explain this score? Brossart kills jackets. Bracken kills Brossart. Paris kills Bracken. Then doesn't Paris kills Jackets complete the logical circle? 13-6....you are kidding.....if not, this high school football continues to show how effort on the field can crazily overcome the obvious on paper.

It does make you scratch your head OlderCoach ... It's been a one score game the last three years when these two have played ... the favored team has won all 3 years but it's been a dogfight in all of them ... you can't beat a good high school football rival game !!! Nice crowd for both teams last night , that made it even better. ...

It's Paris vs. Nicholas County... two long-time rivals ... I can remember back in 1981, when Nicholas traveled to Blanton Collier Stadium to face an undefeated and top ranked Paris Greyhound team that went on to win the state championship that season. When the dust settled on that night, the Hounds needed a late score by James Clark to pull out a tough 14-13 victory! You gotta love rivals ... always bringing something extra to the table. I'm not surprised at all from the score last night!

It does seem to be a dog fight most games between these two. I'm really glad the Hounds got the victory.

Figured that this would have been much more lopsided favoring Paris. Just another example of MANY that predictability of games shouldn't be based on scores against others.

I didn't take not one of those 'running clock predictions' for Paris seriously.

Anyone that knows the district and rivalry knew that was laughable.

All of these teams aren't that fall apart when they're at home or missing a player or two?

Going with Brossart in the upset next week at Paris, just because they're due and they're a good enough team to do it.

In 2 weeks Nicholas County will beat Bracken County at home as pay back from the loss in Brooksville last year

Paris is the only team in this district this year that has proven to win on the road. Few injuries but still finding ways to win on the road inside this well balanced district. No Johnson or Ashford and it's close. But if they both play, Paris will blow BB out and get ready for Carroll County and an end of season showdown with Ludlow.
