1.6A: Scott County 3-1):

Scott County seen it’s 3 game win streak come to an end on Friday night when they fell to Ohio powerhouse, Moller, 38-28. Things don’t get any easier this week when the Cardinals travel to Ohio to play yet another Ohio team, this time, LaSalle OH.

2.2A: LCA (4-0):

The Eagles are red hot, having won all 4 games so far this season and all of them in convincing fashion. LCA defeated crosstown rival, Lexington Catholic on Friday night 56-36. The Eagles put up 559 yards of total offense.

3.2A: Danville (4-0):

Danville picked up another big win Friday night when they defeated 5A Pulaski County 34-13. The Ads and LCA Eagles are on a collision course and if both teams keep winning, October 20^th will be a dog fight.

4.3A: Boyle County (3-1):

After falling to crosstown rival, Danville, the Rebels bounced back and picked up a big win over 4A Wayne County 38-14. The Rebels travel to Shelby County this week to face 4A Collins (3-1).

5.4A: Mercer County (3-1):

The Titans also picked up their 3^rd win on the season, defeating 3A Garrard County 49-42 in what was probably the game of the night. Garrard County had 533 yards of total offense (404 on the ground) but it wasn’t enough to stop Mercer County.

6.3A: Western Hills (2-1):

In the past two games, Western Hills has put up 900 yards of total offense with most of it coming on the ground. Western Hills didn’t have a problem getting past Bath County Friday night as the Wolverines rolled to a 38 point victory. Western Hills will be home for the 3^rd straight week this week hosting another crosstown rival, Frankfort.

7.3A: Lexington Catholic (2-2):

After pitching a 25-0 shutout at the hands of Lafayette, the Knights would turn their focus on the high powered offense of LCA and no matter what the Knights would do to try and stop LCA’s run and gun high powered offense, it wouldn’t be enough as LCA would double up Lexington Catholic 56-36. Lexington Catholic at Highlands should be a fun game this week.

8.4A: Franklin County (2-1):

The Flyers stayed at home this week, scouting their next opponent, Anderson County.

9.6A: Madison Central (2-2):

The Indians picked up a big 37-13 win over Madison Southern last night to run their record to 2-2. Although they are 2-2, they could have easily been 4-0. Madison Central will look to keep the momentum going this week when they travel to Lexington to face the newly Frederick Douglass school who is also hot.

10.6A: Frederick Douglass (2-1):

Frederick Douglass picked up a big win over Lafayette Friday, 29-14. The Broncos piled up 312 yards of offense.

TEAMS TRENDING UP:

6A: Henry Clay (1-3): Henry Clay picked up a huge road win at 5A Pulaski Southwestern, who many thought would contend for a 5A State title this season, this should be a big boost for the Blue Devils.

6A: Tates Creek (3-1): Surprisingly, Tates Creek is off to a 3-1 start this season, it was the other way around at the start of last season.

4A: West Jessamine (3-1): The Colts have already matched their total wins from last season at 3.

5A: Anderson County (3-1): The Bearcats are off to a good start, 3-1.

1A: Frankfort (3-1): Despite losing to Williamsburg by 20, the Panthers are still in good shape at 3-1.

TEAMS TRENDING DOWN:

6A: Lafayette (1-3): After having just 2 losses all of last season and playing for a 6A state title, the Lafayette Generals have fallen off the face of the earth this season, opened up with a 28-0 win over Bryan Station but have lost 3 straight games since, all by double digits.

6A: Paul Lauerence Dunbar (0-3): The Bulldogs have yet to score a single point but have gave up over 100 points already in just 3 games.

3A: Garrard County (2-2): Garrard County can’t seem to get things going and that’s not a good trend you wanna be on.

5A: Lincoln County (1-3): The Patriots started the season off with a blowout win but have lost 3 straight since.

5A: Woodford County (0-4): For the 4^th straight game, Woodford County has been blown out.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

SO. QB Beau Allen (Lexington Catholic) threw for 356 yards and 4 TD’s with 1 INT on 18/32 passing in the losing effort to LCA 56-36.

GAMES OF THE WEEK:

Lexington Catholic at Highlands: Both teams stand at 2-2 on the season. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2014.

Madison Central at Frederick Douglass: This one should be nothing short of a fantastic game as both teams are playing really good ball at the moment. Can Madison Central put a damper on the excitement in Frederick Douglass or will the Broncos continue having success so far this season?

LCA with a nice move up. Well deserved.
