Mayweather/Macgregor vs. Riggs/King

When I think of the upcoming boxing match, I can't stop being reminder of Bobby Riggs taking on Billie Jean King. Many of you probably don't remember that - google it if you don't. Suffice it to say, if I am not mistaken, that tennis match still holds the record for the highest attendance at a tennis match in the US.

This boxing match feels like a gimmick as much as that tennis match. I can't get myself to take it seriously. It just feels like a con to line the pockets of all those involved. So for the people really interested, are you expecting a good fight? Or are you interested in this similar to those who wanted to see the bearded lady at the carnival?

My brother and I are thinking about getting the fight. I think it is a combo of "watch the circus" and "Can McGregor land one good one?"

Side Note: "Battle of the Sexes" is in theatres on Sept. 22 with Emma Stone playing Billie Jean King and Steve Carell playing Bobby Riggs

That is what I am thinking afi100. I think 95% of the people want to see the bearded lady and/or the "Buster Douglas" upset. I think less than 5% of the people think this is going to be a competitive boxing match worth watching.
