  1. Help me understand the O-line chemistry concern? Maybe moving the all state tackle to the left side, raise's your concern?
  2. Everybody talks about the two LB's for Trinity, but the other two OLB hit just as hard, one was even a first team all district last year....
  3. I think the fans were hotter than the players. First and second teams looked really good. Nice passes and long runs by the offense and some nice hard hits on the defensive side. Have to confirm what Coach B has said, they are 2-3 deep at every position, hardly will loose a step from the 2-3 teams.
  4. I just callem as I see'em...Barry Swisher had made a secret call to Coach B & C on the finer details of the wishbone, but you let the cat out the bag. Looks like the Rocks will have to go back to the basic's (pass alot).
  5. Not much else you can say about this thread. 8/31 will be the day the real talk begins, on the field and that's where it should be.......
  6. If Henderson County has one of the largest school popluations, and with this new coach who seems to have tons of energy, then the community should step up and get these boys what they need. Sounds like their boosters should hit the streets like their coach has been doing for the last 4 weeks.
  7. So much for a surprise come opening game. All Tell, are you an X scout?
  8. It would be 10am....
  9. Rockpride, I think I said 130, not 100. And, don't be surprised if everyone does dress for the first game. And if i was a betting person, X will dress everyone for their first game in their new stadium.
  10. A nice stadium certainly doesn't hurt in attracting the guys, but the rings are a bigger attraction. When was the last time T had 130 kids on varsity?
  11. Intra squad scrimmage this Saturday, should be alot of fun to watch. Cookout this Wednesday with intro to all players in the program. This is alway fun to figure out what the boys are saying in the microphone. Their not afraid to talk to people one on one, but put them in front of everyones parents....da da da I'm Grrrreeeeggg.
  12. I agree. I think you almost have to be in the advance program in school to understand and run their formations.
  13. I had the opportunity to watch a few games on Saturday and the new complex is very nice. But, I had to use port-a-potties and hamburgers where cooked under a tent. I'm sure these minor details will be corrected before X grills the Bruin Burgers. It appeared Glaser had most all of his team assisting in the 7 on 7 tourney. The stadium will be a nice set up for track events. Question, will the visiting coaches who watch the game from afar get to sent in the 5X10 box on the visiting side or will they get to seat higher on the home side?
  14. Very true Jimmy...but you need someone to put points on the board. So, I'll change my top three to Matt Smith, Montano and Brinkman.
  15. I didn't disagree with you, sure Coach K had better defenses because he left his starters in the game 98% of the time. Coach Bean tends to get more players in the game than Coach K.....which means more experience...and probably better morale.
  16. In my earlier post and in Rockwatcher's post, alot of points have been scored on the 2nd and 3rd string units, besides from special teams that normally have non-starters on the field. There is a difference in Bean's style and Coach K's style. Coach K hardly played his 2nd/3rd units until LATE into the game, which hurt the ROCKS three years ago. So, I'm not sure why you would have a issue with Bean's defense. Maybe Bean's first year on board might have raised a few eyebrows, but certainly not the last two years. Bean prepare's for the future year, as well as the current year.
  17. Montano, Duce and Brutcher in the backfield.
  18. Three players for X is Duce, Zoeller and Knotts. All three on offense with limited experience from last year.
  19. I'm just curious, what does X or Male have coming back (returning starters) from last year to give them a # 2 or #3 ranking? These two teams may have more than Trinity (total of 8 returning starters), but Trinity deserves and #1 ranking after the last several years. PRP shouldn't be in the top 10, they need to prove they can win the big games, which they will have a chance at the Rocks this year.
  20. Qoute from CentreRocks:How many times has that sophomore gone on to be all state his senior year? Who are you talking about?
  21. Little do you know, he was older than most juniors last year. So, starting as a sophmore isn't that much of a feat. He was agressive, but I think the current db's will do just as good.
  22. it will cost you....
  23. Not to sure little Bobby will be missed. This years DB's are bigger and faster than little Bobby. There are no if's about the QB throwing, he can throw and the Dutton's should have a break out year, if the ball is thrown to them. Last punt I saw went about 55 yards...that can't be too far off from last year. Yes, the defense did give up alot of points, but Bean did played alot of second/third teamers (seniors). With the schedule at hand, lends itself to more scoring by thier opponents, so lets hope with only 2 returning starters and the replacements can do the job. Rocks do deserve their # 1 Ranking (finally)....
  24. Then make it a north vs south game....with Lexington being with the south and Louisville with the north!!
  25. Either Schwietzer or Kapfhammer will play center. Db's and DL have hardly any varsity experience, but appear to be strong.
