Looks good to me. I like it!!!! I just hope that the same thing that happened to the BGP Preseason #1 the last two years doesn't happen this year.

I think Manual would be a good sleeper team and I would consider ranking them higher.

Once again, PRP with a high preseason ranking... They've been disappointing the last few years and until they prove themselves, I'd have em on the outside looking in...I believe Ryle deserves a Top 10 spot, as well. I know they lost several players, but, have some good kids back too...

I hope it does!

I think either Nelson County or Meade County will earn a top 10 ranking by year's end.

Why has PRP been disappointing? Life is tough when you're in a district with Male, St. Xavier and Manual, all of which have been top-10 (and sometimes top-5) teams in 4A the last three or four years. They also convincingly beat a Lincoln County team (on the road) that some here maintained should have been in the top 10 late in the year.

I'm just curious, what does X or Male have coming back (returning starters) from last year to give them a # 2 or #3 ranking? These two teams may have more than Trinity (total of 8 returning starters), but Trinity deserves and #1 ranking after the last several years. PRP shouldn't be in the top 10, they need to prove they can win the big games, which they will have a chance at the Rocks this year.

PRP has a monster schedule this year and if they are successful the should quiet the nay-sayers.

You mean you're hoping for Male to pull an upset this year like Trinity did last year. LOL

How about last 5 years, no playoff wins and overall record right at .500.. During those same 5 years, missed the playoffs twice and lost in playoffs to Meade Co, J.Hardin and Male, all in the 1st round.. In addition have suffered losses to Butler, Meade, N.Hardin, Iroquis, Nelson Co., just to name a few outside the 3 you mentioned, none exactly worldbeaters.. In most of these years, PRP was highly thought of and ranked highly in most years at the beginning of the year.. I understand your thought about StX, Male and Manual, that is definately tough, but, you would think a team that comes in almost every year with a high ranking, would find a way to win at least 1 playoff game in 5 years...Hence, my opinion is they're traditionally dissappointing...

I'm not talking about the last five years ... if you go back far enough, you can find losses like that for just about anyone. That playoff loss to John Hardin in 2005 was to the team that nearly knocked off St. Xavier the next week.

Since Chris Wolfe has been at PRP, they've consistently been among the top 10 teams in 4A, aside from the year they lost their very good RB at midseason. But when you play in a district with St. Xavier, Male and Manual, you're going to take some losses.

I don't know if I'd call it a monster schedule, but it's certainly going to be an interesting one for them. Seems to only get tougher each week (not to start a T vs X thing, I'm just saying in general).

My feelings towards PRP are mixed. I have sympathy of them being part of the meatgrinder, but I also think they haven't made things as interesting as hoped for the past couple of years.

You will be hard pressed to find many with a tougher schedule.

Fair enough, as none of those teams are typically real pushovers and I know nothing of the Indiana team (I'll assume they're beastly).

But (and early predictions are quite unbecoming of me) I'd say it'll look like this for PRP:

They'll win and lose where they're expected to, but they probably won't stand out. That's my preseason prediction for PRP.
