The concensus front runners are Mathies and Rainey.
It isn't close with those two compared to the Jones kid. She is a good high school player but the other two kids are waaayyy better players.
Walz's high school career was beyond compare. She was a GREAT player.
Her team is a very good team and I expect them to win their region. They played well and lost to a good team. It happens.
By the way, the game was not at North Hardin so it wasn't on their home floor.
I think Highlands is a very good team. However, they did not handle Iroquois in any way!
That was a scrimmage in Louisville and Iroquois played without both Mathies sisters as well as two other starters. That is not the same Iroquois team you will see if you watch them play now. Highlands handled their jv team.
The story in the Courier Journal made the game sound close until the last 4 minutes or so. Mercy's coach said his team just ran out of gas and the credit goes to E-town for that.
Good win on the road.
The rule states that anything that goes around the head (headband, prewrap, etc) is considered a headband. It therefore must match the dominant color of the uniform.
It may not be enforced by every official but that is the rule as I understand it.
I think they are a very good team.
Just asking why they played in one tournament. The players generally like going somewhere and playing different teams...thaty is all. No hidden agenda...I promise.
No one is trying to attack Rowan. The question was why did they play in only one tournament. And Jim made the comment that with a team as good as they appear to be why wouldn't you play in a second tournament for the competition and the recognition.
Relax......deep breath.....
