Johnson is playing. I heard they played at Warren Central Tuesday night.

The schools in my area play boy-girl doubleheaders with the jv games being played in the auxillary gym. I know not every school has that but it is good for everyone when the jv and varsity teams can all play in one night. It makes it easier and cheaper for the fans.

Pretty solid teams at the top. I think Manual is better than 4th and I think E-town and Butler are overrated a bit.

Two starters saw action for Iroquois. Adia Mathies was on the bench with an injured thumb and the other players weren't in the gym. The players who were there and played will see very little varsity action during the regular season.

Most rules about who schools hire as coaches are district rules. If they have the required number of college hours (64) they are eligible to be a coach in the state of Kentucky. Some districts require certified applicants only (with a teaching certificate).

If their guards take care of the ball and hit some shots, they will be a very tough out in teh tournament.

How many (who are they) girls head coaches left to take the head coaching job in a boys program this season?

I don't know how many boys coaching jobs were open this year but I do know there were approximately 43 girls jobs open at some point after last season. That seems high but I don't have any great theories about the causes. Teaching cuts/openings, moving to bigger programs, moving closer to one's home, getting out of coaching due to family reasons, etc???? I do wonder how much importance a school puts into filling their coaching positions. If you get someone who is a little hesitant initially makes you believe they won't be able to tolerate the time and trials of being a head coach. Any other guesses?

He resigned just after the school year started. I am not sure if they have replaced him yet.

They have some very good guard play and had a successful summer. Looks like they will be in the mix in the tough 5th region again this year.

Their district and region is a strike against them. There is no guarantee they will be in Bowling Green in March. I will go with Iroquois but LCA is a solid pick.

They have a great shot at winning that region this year.

From what I understand, players were told if they couldn't attend both days they wouldn't be selected.
