Loyalty is a big part of building a better program. However, people must do what they feel is best for them and their family. That is the bottom line. I hate it when kids lose a coach they love/trust, but coaches are people. Adn people need to make choices that are best for their family and hope everyone else can undestand those choices.

I understand everyone's point that you should reward a player who leads her team to a great season. However, the award in question is for an individual player and I think it is unfair to "punish" a player because her team isn't as good as someone else's team. Gibbs led her team to the finals and that is great. Should she get more votes simply because her teammates are better than Reid's?

Head coaches across the state get one vote each. I am not sure if media members vote or not.

When are the ballots due? If they are due at the end of the regular season, the state tournament performance had nothing to do with it.

I believe that was 2005 and Hopkinsville beat Daviess County with that questionable layup. And the picture in the paper was definitely proof it should not have counted.

5th region championship is slated for 5:30 Monday night at North Hardin.

The 5th region games have been postponed and rescheduled for Sunday. Games will be played at 2:00 and 4:00 at North Hardin High School.

It doesn't look good for the 5th today. If they play tomorrow and Monday, look for Monday's game to start earlier due to the boys games at hart County.

If it is a blocked shot, the shooter gets a field goal attempt. If there is a field goal attempt, there must be a rebound. My best guess...blocked shot and rebound. Hope that helps.

I agree with bluethunder. I have seen a lot of players over the past few years and Reid is among the best. She has some huge numbers but they could be even bigger. She gets her teammates involved and she is a dominating player.
