  1. Central also beat George Rogers Clark and plays a quality slate. Gotta love the fact that Model gets to play LexCath. Boy, the 44th District doesn't get it. Madison Southern should be playing in the region, but it's not likely to happen soon as long as they keep DRAWING instead of SEEDING for the tournament. ... Someone needs to address this problem to the 44th District. Sometimes it's not all about MONEY.
  2. It has DESTROYED prep basketball in INDIANA. One class one title makes state unique. ... As for the 44th District? It needs to be seeded, no question about it.
  3. Biggest turnoff in my profession: When parents try to use the media to slam a coach or argue about son/daughter's playing time. Rule of thumb: Respect the coach (your team and the opposing team), the other players and yes, the referees. Sure there will be mistakes, but you know what? Pinch your skin. We are all in the human race and guess what? Humans make mistakes. .... Also, remember don't get all worked up: It's just a game. ...
  4. see complete story on game http://www.winchestersun.com
  5. Will not be playing Clark unless it's in the region. Not sure about Mason. ...
  6. trying to watch the game on the web. It pretty much stinks. Everybody must be trying to watch it. ... too many people on server. ...
  7. Thank God the 40th seeds. ... Covered 44th for so long and they had the perfect system (LOL) the draw! Seeding makes so much more sense.
  8. It was my understanding he was going there, but not 100 percent on that one. ...
  9. Mississppi State likes him and I think he has a planned visit to Virginia Commonwealth this weekend. Eastern and Morehead have their eyes open. Xavier is there, too. So is K-State. ... Vandy is a high academic school. Not sure how that would work with Preston. ... The goal is to get to Rupp and more schools will jump on the bandwagon. That's what happened with Darius Miller. The state is the big stage everyone looks at in March. ...
  10. I think Preston has a visit planned for Virginia Commonwealth this weekend.
  11. Congrats, coach Rison. Good work and you always have your teams prepared to play Clark County every time. ...
  12. Are you serious? Give me a break. I ran in high school and it didn't hurt me. ... What's next? a court order stopping running in practice?
  13. You would think Berea and Model would figure it out by now. When I covered the 44th, you drew for the draw and then drawed in order. I don't know if they do it that way now or not. Probably still do. A draw is a draw. ...
  14. This district is a joke. Why NOT send your 2 best teams to region or at least give them that opportunity? Model and Berea love it, I guess going to the region and getting pounded is a reward for being runner-up? There has has got to be a better way. I say seed, seed, seed. That's the best answer. To be the best, you have to play the best and beat the best. Hiding behind another team isn't the answer
  15. Someone define "PRIME TIME" for me or should it be weekend time?
  16. Just thought of this. I think the state tournament is going to be played a week later this year at Rupp Arena because UK is hosting first- and second-round NCAA Tournament games at Rupp. ... In the 11th region, they play the first-round games at home sites and then shift between richmond and frankfort I think. first- and second-round on Monday and Wednesday and finals on Friday. Girls' first-round games begin on Saturday and finals on Tuesday. That's the way it goes in the 11th region I think. ... Good format to follow. ...
  17. Sunday game? Why play on Sunday? The regular-season games aren't played on Sunday. Why should a region final be played on Sunday? IMO that would hurt attendance.
  18. It will be close. This game is never easy for either team. ... Great rivalry
  19. Oh OK. Must be official now. I knew Scott was working on it (changing the date).
