panthers are gonna be ok this year but will run into some trouble district games

I disagree with you about the poor shooting night, because I have seen many teams play this year and AC has the best defense out of the teams I have seen this year. I also think that AC will out rebound EC by close to 20 again. Russeell, Humphries, and Penny are monsters on the glass. If ACs guards come to play like they did the last 2 games of the regional tourney, I think they pull out the win. AC 62-EC 58

For some reason I feel like OC matches up pretty well with AC. I dont know if it will happen, but I am going with OC by 3. Mustangfan01, I think it will be more shocking if this isnt a good game. I dont think either team will win by more than 6-8 points. I am wishing for an All A rematch for the 8th title!

:thumb: I played for Coach Holland for 3 years at HC, and through the ups and the downs, the man can flat out coach. He has done more for HC basketball then any coach should have to. The kids on this team are extremely motivated and are hungry for this. I talked to them last night and you could see it in there eyes. I played with many of the players that are seniors and juniors on this team my senior year, and they are very hard working. For the game, it was very back and for the most part. HC got a 9 point lead built in the first and that dwindled to a 26-26 ball game at the half. At the end of the 3rd I think SO was up 3 or around there but HC came out firing scoring close to 10 straight. Free throws were suspect even though there big man, Hinkle, did an excellent job at them. Can't wait for the Shelby game and good luck HC!

I cant either, but HC has had there better teams lately and they havent ever played. HC better get them this year because SC is going to be tough as nails in a year or two. Can't wait for the game though, Roy L Winchester Gymnasium willl be rockin for that one.

No, there big men are REALLY good. I dont know if anyone can in the 8th, but thats the key to victory against them. Russell and Penny are monsters, but if someone can step up and cancel out one of them then they can be beaten.

If someone can stop ACs big men...then AC will be goin home. Penn and Russell had all of their teams points until halfway through the 4th quarter. I think that Russell and Penny combined to score 45 out of their 52 points or something like that. I thought St. Julien played a very gutsy game for NO and really kept them in it with his tough drives to the basket.

Owen needs to knock down the free throws, but other than that I thought they played a heck of a game. rebounding in the final minute of the half and OT really wont the game for them. I thought Colligan really won the game for them down the stratch and Marson (sp?) hit two very clutch free throws to seal the deal.

Both are tough but I have to go with OC by 5.

The crew has been working night and day and last I heard the gym part will be completely open. They are going to add entrances to the front like old times so the toop corners are not blocked off. I would say parking will still be a little rough but the gym should be ready to go...at least thats what I was told. But as we have talked about before schedules dont always work out the way they are supposed to.

I guess as a HC fan I couldn't ask for a much better draw. I dont know if there is an easy draw in this tourney but I would say we got the best option we could have.

Wow, they did this without there best player?! Thats really impressive. Looks like SO is on a roll.

Congrats Owen! I couldnt make it but heard it was a good game and I dont know if HC is ever gunna win a distric title lol. We are in one heck of a drought. Cant wait to see this regionl this year, should be very very competitive. Again congrats to Owen, I will be pullin for ya (and HC of course) in the Regional.

Spoonamore put on a clinic against Henry Co. earlier this year...so I expected him to do something like this. The kid has amazing range and a good release. Congrats to both teams on their years WTown sure suprised quite a few this year.

Nothing you just said has anything to do with who is the most clutch player in the state. Anyways, I am not sure who I think is the most clutch as I havent seen many but out of the players I have seen the top three would be Ferguson, CJ Penny, and Hood.

Tough to beat a team 3 times in 1 season, but HC is one heckuva tourney team...so HC in a high scoring thriller...HC 40 - CC 37

This district is too hard to predict. Its hard to pick a winner in this game...but I am going with GC because, even though they are young, there core is still battle tested and seem to be a pretty tough out every year in the postseason. I also give Jones the slight coaching edge over Duvall. He always has his team ready. GC 53- OC 51

In the 8th the best official by a mile is Coldiron. In my opinion there isnt a ref. who is even close to him in the 8th...unless its Cornbread :lol:
