Kerry Smith will have to keep his mind in the game and not let his attitude get the best of him. I watched him in every game in the 8th region tournament and in every game he did very rude gestures to the opposing teams pep section. He's a good ball player if he keeps his emotions in check. If he doesn't I'll be looking for him to get atleast one T in this game being that the best refs in the state will be officiating.

Henry only has one hard thrower on their pitching staff this year and the rest are just consistent strike throwers. I think they will be ok in the region it just all depends on the draw for the tournament of course. How many starters did Oldham lose last season? I know they are returning Wade Mason who IMO is the best pitcher the 8th has to offer with a lot of speed and consistency with strikes.

Didn't they lose their lefty do to a torn acl during football season? Or will he be recovered by the season? Also I know that both Trimble and Carroll wil scrimmage Henry County in the coming week, that is of course if the weather holds off.

IMO Carroll will not win the 31st this year. They lost over half of their starting line-up. I do believe Henry will be on top in the 31st with a fairly good chance to make noise in the region. Being as they only lost one starter from last year and have their entire pitching rotation back.

I agree. They lost a lot so they should be commended for their achievements, not down graded bc of their region.

So should Fredette be punished because he was on a mid major team? Faried played better OOC teams than Jimmer did imo....

They're my dark horse. Seen them play twice this year. They could easily surprise the state and take it. Well, maybe not easily, but they have a better shot than most.

Eastern. The best team in the state in my opinion. I would be very surprised if they don't take it.

Shelby Valley won their tournament just like every other Regional chapion did this year, so therefore, they are the best team in the 15th region. They put everything together at the right time, and came away victorious. I don't even know where Shelby Valley is, but if you win your regional tourney, you are the best in your region. All of the other teams had their chance to do what they had to do to be at Rupp, but all faltered except for SV. Thats how I feel about it anyways.

Excellent run down Colonel! I couldn't put it any better myself. It was an excellent game. I have watched numerous OC games this year, and they looked extremely dominant tonight. If they play that way against GRC, who knows what could happen. I am just extremely happy for Coach Holland. I know have have such an extreme amount of respect for the man, as he was like a father to me, and kind of feel like I won the regional tournament tonight. I really hope Spencer doesn't getreally down on themselves, because they have a chance to avenge their unfinished business next year. I look for #21 for SC to be in the running for POY in the 8th next year (behing Rowan, who seems to me to be the best the region has). Once again congrats to OC. It is so hard to think about how close my HC Wildcats were to being at Rupp next week, but I am as happy with the outcome as I could be with my team losing. Congrats to all the teams at the 8th, as it was a spectacular tournament all the way around. Couldn't ask for a more competitive tournament.

Congrats to Oldham County and especially Coach Holland. I played for him for his first 3 seasons at HC, and he was like a father to us. I know how bad he wanted a Regional championship, and he has worked hard to get the best from his teams, and the same goes for this year. The game was very chippy towards the end. Smith for OC finally got the technical he deserved. Should have been T'd up in every game I have seen from OC this year from taunting and stuff. Also, congrats to SC for their dream of a season. They busted their butts, and its so awesome to see a community to come together like they did this year. Thats what HS basketball is ALL about! If what I heard is true, and SC only loses one player then they should be the favorites next season. Good Luck to the Colonels at Rupp! This was the best Regional tourney I have seen in a long, long time. Very competitive all the way up until the last game.

Yes they were. Crazy amounts of fans, and for such a small school to have that many students there was verryyyy impressive. Kudos to them. They made the game even better, except for the I believe that we will win chants. Lol.

They were both really good games. Henry lost it in the fourth after having a solid 8 point lead for the first 25 minutes of the game. They lost that game on their own. Makes me sad as I am an HC fan, but I played under coach holland at HC for 3 years so I am happy for him. I don't know if this game was really an upset, just a huge meltdown by a NO team that looked like an all star team the first half of the ball game. The Rowan kid for NO is a stud. He will be POYin the 8th next year in my opinion.

Wow. Spencer mounts a 20 point comeback. What a comeback. Number 21 had 28 points. Clutch. Spencers pep section love the I believe we will win chant wayyy too much. I counted 14 times that they did it.

I agree on UC and X. UC is much better than X and is definitely better than a 7 seed. I wouldn't want them to be the 7 seed in my teams bracket. I think X would be on the 5/12 upset alert with Belmont. Belmont is a tough little team. I think UK moves to a 4 because of finishing out the season kind of hot, and with the favorable draw in the SEC tourney they are likely to make it to the finals. Just my opinion though.

The tornado in hc hit really close to home. My best friend was half a mile from the point of touchdown. Its a mess. It did a lot of damage to only be down a short period of time.

:thumb: He is a good jump shooter. He doesn't use his strengths to his advantage. If he would step out there and drain a three, or even a long 2 it would open up the floor for Knight to go one and one, without the lane cluttered. That needs to be addressed, but if it hasn't changed by now, it may never change.

I am with you on Lamb. I was very confused as to why our best shooter was not indown with less than 15 seconds to go. But I don't understand why Knight made that pass...etc., etc. I still think we are ok. With only one road game to go we should be able to improve our seeding with a good showing in the tourney and by continuing our impressive play at Rupp.

Excited to see another HC GC game. They have became a pretty good rivalry the past 5 years or so. Good luck to GCagainst my Cats (the other Cats that is).

Thats what I love about the Crzies, they are so involved and they are extremely classy. You don't here the jibberish other schools yell out. I am an avid 8th region follower and played ball in the 8th 4 years ago, and I seriously don't ever remember seeing even a decent student section from Spencer until this year, and it isnt THAT impressive.

Good job Bearcats! They have been my second team of choice since They had Martin, so I am so happy to see this. They are playing well at the right time. Oh yeah, shouldnt be any more questions about in or out now.

Seems like a lot of Cal bashing tonight. I still lovec Cal, and I am not giving up on this team. I do give up on hope for the UT sweep this year though. Who wouldnt? But this team is an excellent home team, and a pretty darn good team at a neutral court. Thats what matters come tourney time. Cats will very rarely have less fans than the other team. I just can't give up on this team. None of our players are world beaters, but I can't bash Knight. He does have the tendency to choke late in close games, but he plays pretty dang hard and definitely kept us in the game. I am pretty sure he was pretty close to a double double in rebounds and points. Terrible loss though. Very disheartening.

I hated it with a passion. When Vargas missed that dunk I stood up cheering because I thought he had flushed it. Then I was even madder because I had hopes he had finished his first dunk of the year. Lol. It really was terrible. The midcourt cam is a great thing. No need to change it.

Mclintock. Haven't Seen a whole lot of his stuff, but dad and I used to love watching Mclintock.
