B-Ball-fan Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 You didn't think that I was going to overlook this this year now did you? I haven't looked back in the archives, but there seems to be a lot more winless teams this year than in the recent past. Here is this year's edition to: Winless Teams Either for the whole season or winless within their respective regions. It's not too late. Maybe some of these teams can end their streak and win a game or 2 in their district tournaments. Go Winless Teams :thumb: I will be keeping my eye on you to see if miracles still happen. ********************************************** Region 1 Reidland 0-17 0-13 0-6 Region 3 Frederick Fraize 0-19 0-13 0-6 Region 6 Portland Christian 0-22 0-13 0-5 Region 8 Eminence 0-22 0-10 0-4 Region 9 Cooper 1-24 0-13 0-6 Covington Latin 0-10 0-0 0-0 Region 11 Berea 6-18 0-5 0-2 Region 12 Monticello 2-25 0-15 0-6 Region 13 Red Bird 0-23 0-15 0-3 Region 14 Riverside Christian 0-24 0-10 0-3
04sportsfan05 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Eminence is actually 2-22, just winless in the region.
B-Ball-fan Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Eminence is actually 2-22, just winless in the region. Good catch:thumb: That is correct. I had that in my notes, but goofed when compiling the list.
B-Ball-fan Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 Cooper, in their first season, wins their first ever game against a 9th Region contender as well as their first ever district tournament game with a 67-65 Overtime win in the 33rd District over Heritage Academy. :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa
gchs_uk9 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I don't think winless in the region should be considered in this thread. A team could conceivably go 10-0 outside the region and 0-10 from within. That wouldn't make them "winless," would it?

People barely care about this thread much less a second one with only 'true winless teams'. I just covered the bases with one thread instead of boring everyone to death with two. Not winning in your own region is sad enough to make it noteworthy in this thread, I think. :idunno:

I was just a little confused by the overall and region. And yes, not winning a game in the region is sad.

Some of these schools struggle mightily every year.
B-Ball-fan Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 I'm not mocking them is as much as it's just trivia, and usually each year someone takes themselves off the list by stepping up to win a district game, which then really does become noteworthy. I like to track stuff like that to see a miracle or two. :thumb: I know there's a few programs year in and year out that struggle for whatever reason, but if I can help give them incentive to not be on this list before the season is through, then cool.
