I see where CentreRocks is coming from though, dont make crazy predictions and continue to be wrong year after year, and not expect to be called out on it. Until Boone or Ryle beats Trinity, I will fully expect Trinity to run them off the field, until BCHS or RHS can prove otherwise.

I just cant see the Rebels staying close in this one. I hope they can pull the shocker but just dont see how. I expect something about, Trinity 52 Boone 10.

DD, Ryle played all their playoff games at home. And lets be honest, the two teams that they did beat in the playoffs outside of NKY would not have made the playoffs up here. I dont think this game is going to come down to "who has the most experience" its Ryle vs Boone for crying out loud! With that said, I do think the Raiders will pull the upset tonight! :sleep: I thought the refs did a pretty nice job tonight. Ryle was obviously the better team.

How is Beinke experienced lining up in the shotgun? How experienced is Beinke when it comes to him winning the game on his shoulders? Sure he has alot of experience handing the ball off and making a few throws a game, but he was in a new situation the other night.

I would hate that. Defenses are so good in the NFL. Every game would end on a field goal.

I like how it is now. The kicking game in high school is no where near the level of college kicking. For example, last night, Boone missed their extra point try...

I know Ryle had passed the ball well all night, I just think in that SITUATION, you give the ball 4 times to Adam Schmits and if he cant get 10 yards on 4 carriers to beat your rival, then you dont deserve to win. Beinke looked good all night, but he had never been in that circumstance asked to win the game in Overtime. Cooperstown- I agree with the band, it has been like that for years. Try sitting there and see what happens to you!!!:scared:

The play calling in Overtime from the Ryle sideline was laughable. They line up shotgun spread the field on one play. The very next play they line up in a goal line formation and run a QB sneak from the 6 yard line. I honestly made better play calls when I was 8 playing football games on my Super Nitendo...

I couldnt imagine either team not bringing their best effort tonight! It is Boone-Ryle.

Maleys older brother (middle brother) was some what of a head case as well durring his sophomore year. However, he got his head straight and help lead Ryle to the Region Championship in 2002! Hopefully John will do the same! (Get his head together, I dont see this team having much of a chance of winning region.)

I asked Diamond Dandy this a few weeks ago, and dont think I got an answer, so I will ask you. What makes you think Ryle will open up the passing game? Warner has not wanted to throw the ball for years now. His style is to run, run and run some more. If he didnt learn last year against Trinity that you had to be able to pass the ball as well, he never will.

\ Ahern is decent IMO, he has alot to work on though, first of all, his quickness. With his size he needs to be much quicker than he is right now. I know last year there were several games he really struggled to get the ball up the court against man to man pressure.

Did he play Varsity last year?

Maley is for sure Ryle's best player, however, he has the potential to be real REAL good. He certainly needs to work on his permiter game. He is a great defender, though. I look for Mitch Mcleish (sp) to give the Raiders some quality time at Point Guard. Is Josh Morgan planning on playing this year? If he could get his head into the game he could be a solid player, as well.

How could you do that though? I mean each region is playing separate courses. Im not sure what course the region tourny was at in the Lexington Region, but Boone Links is one of the tougher courses in NKY. It was very tricked up and the greens had just been irrigated about a week ago, as well. I see what your saying, but it would be hard to do... So are you in favor of changing the Sweet 16 as well? Because each year there are 2-3 mountain schools that couldnt compete in any of the other regions in the state.They wouldnt get out of 3/4 of the districs in other regions. They get beat by 40 points the first game each year at Rupp Arena. However, they deserving to make it to the state tournament...

I heard today that this is the first time a public school has won this region in golf since like 1983 or so... Congrats Raiders! I beileve this is Ryle's 6th straight trip to the state tournament!

From what I have heard from a few people close to the ryle program, is that the coaching staffs arrogance really contributed to the loss last night...
