Its hard not for him to underacheive...Putting my opinion of byrson aside...This team set the bar high, its going to be tough for him to do this again. I am not saying he wont or cant just saying if he doesnt make it back to the state championship, then alot of people will say he is underacheiving because their expectations are so high now...Kinda like Tubby at U.k. (and IM sure ryle is dealing with the same fans)

And just for the record I have never been involved with the Ryle FOotball program! I have been a spectator for years.My opinions and statements are ones that I have formed from friends that have played. So I dont see why you would think I would be Jealous of a great year from my Alma-mater.

You obviously misunderstood me... I said if HOCKMAN had this group of kids this year, a group that cared. He could have done alot with them I THINK. Thanks for trying to change my argument though! I appreicate that!

Sour grapes? and Being Jealous? Where did this come from? If anything I am saying that RYle players this year deserved to make it to the state finals! They won the games they were supposed to! I am just saying that if Hockman had this group of kids (a group that cared) he could have done alot with them IMO.

Did you have an experience with the Hockams? They havent been around in a while?

I as actually talking to a former Hockman player the other day at the Trinity-Ryle game. His team may have been the best team at Ryle (talent wise they didnt benefit off a very easy draw) But it was the team that lost to Trinity in Overtime and he said nothing but good thanks about Hockman! I guess this is just a difference in sources! and opinions! Lets see what Bryson does over a couple of years. I know his first couple years the players did not like him AT ALL! Its alot easier to like a coach when he is winning!

I was just simpling stating that in order for their to be a rivarly both teams would have to win. Thats what makes a good rivarly. It is nothing against Ryle that they would IMO never beat Trinity. As long as Boone County has 3 football schools and Trinity keeps their tradition and keep recruiting it would be crazy to think Ryle could compete with Trinity! I am not bashing the players at all. I am just stating my opinion that Ryle had a great year, a VERY easy draw, benefited from that draw, WON the games they were supposed to! Congrats on a great season!

I talk to alot of past players, and they really liked the Hockmans alot! I have heard nothing but good things from past players about them. And Ryle did lose by 34 and it could have been ALOT worse! So I think even if Bill Parcells was coaching Thursday night Ryle would still have been destoryed! But yea congrats to Warner he kept the game kinda close, by running the ball the hole game! I guess he accomplished what he wanted and maybe the players did to. Now they can say they didnt lose to Trinity by 50 plus!

I think you are missing the hole point of Bluegrasspreps...Its a discussion, we shouldnt hold symapthy for players that may be on this board. Ryle had a great year, but they werent a great team. And I dont think Orignal Rookie has anything to be jealous about!?!?!?! This is a good thread and we are not trying to bash ryle

By changing something, NOT doing the same thing he did in the first half. Who cares if you lose 70-0 or 41-7 its the last game of the year, might as well try something new. I am not saying anything would have worked against Trinity, but to not even make an attempt at changing shows alot about the coach, to me!

But before this game, Ryle people thought Bryson Warner/Ryle coaching staff was the best ever...What would the Hockmans had done with this team?!?!? Maybe not have beat Trinity but it would have maybe been respectatable! I honestly think after the first half Warner was trying to "not get blown out" instead of trying to get back into the football game?!?!?!

Maybe the question should be, would Ryle be top 5 in Louisville?

Well recently, I would say they are not as good as the Ole Rebels from Florence that made a run in the playoffs a few years ago!

I mean I think the kids are respected throughout 4a and most people would agree that they kids have huge hearts. But they could also make the argument that Ryle didnt beat a top 10 team to make it to the state championship?!?!?! They had a great year dont get me wrong and they play hard and they deserved to be playing last night because they won the games they were given but they never really were tested to prove that they were a great team by beating teams that were below average in most areas of the state. IMO this was a very talented ryle team, The most talented I have seen at Ryle, but the coaching has got to improve, you cant expect to beat great teams not throwing the ball! Just my opinon though! Beinke has a nice arm, but wasnt really used much this year! Maybe it is in this coachs ego to be a running team. Warner is seems excellent at gettin the most out of his kids and inspiring them, but you cant beat quality teams being 1 dimensional. If a great team with Shaun Alexander cant do it, then no from NKY is going to be able too. Great year Ryle, the union community was proud of you KIDS!

Wasn't Henry Clay kinda in the way of #17 too? Also IMO Henry Clay prolly came out of a much tougher side of the bracket as well! I guess its tough to compare 2 teams that never played, IMO Henry Clay would have to much team speed for Ryle!

Not behind Henry Clay? I heard Ryle had like 4 or 5 first downs last night before their scoring drive! Henry Clay at least put points up!

I dont think anyone would disagree with that, but what does that have to do with anything? Any team is going to go out and play hard in the State Championship.

Dennis Cornett was a former teacher at ryle who made a few bad decisions and the facutly was well aware of them! Thats bout all I can say, it was a big deal and alot of it was covered up!

I actually knew Randy very well! And I said he was a great man! Talked to him on a daily bases while I was a there! Used to buy him breakfast and lunch! So saying I dindt know him was a LONGSHOT! Maybe you dont know Ryle like I do myself?!?!?! I would DEF. support the feild being named after him!
