That is no excuse for only beating a 7-16 team by 8 points. Is the 3 point line not there when Holmes has the ball? Is it shorter for Simon Kenton? Oh, how many dunks did Holmes have tonight? :lol:

Pittman should for sure be first team all state just because of the amount of dunks he has vs top 25 teams. Why did you feel the need to include dunks in a stat line?

I remember seeing that E'town team play, they were awesome. The Lafayette team that won state around that same time was so much fun to watch. My dad and I have always gone to the state tournament and that Lafeyette team with Robert Madison was always my favorite, well besides one other team.

Doesn't Boone have to beat Cooper to get in the regionals?

Sorry for having an opinion. I have seen Holmes play once this year, and that was tonight. They looked awful compared to what I was expecting.

Boone beat Holmes at every phase of the game, not just in the halfcourt. They didn't slow the ball down until the 4th quarter. Holmes had trouble with the press Boone threw at them late in the second half. I actually thought Boone looked good the few times they were in transition. Pittman was having problems with his left wrist. Did you not see that? He had the Boone trainer tape it and was holding it the entire second half. Also, Boone can for sure beat Holmes on a neutral court.

First time I have seen Holmes all year. Very unimpressed. Not what I was expecting at all. I am sure Holmes played bad but I just don't think they are as great as many want to believe. Outside of Pittman, I saw nothing special out that on the court. Does Holmes even have an offense? McFarland played really well. I think he ended up with 18. Both teams were horrible from the free throw line, lot of turnovers and outside of the first 2 minutes no outside game from either team.

Original Rook and myself will be there tonight. Hoping to see a quality game.

I am not sure. Maybe he did, but Dixie was just much smaller in the front court compared to Ryle.

They started playing teams with winning records. Over the last 5 years, Ryle has gone to small Christmas tournaments and got most of their wins that way. A big school like Ryle needs to be playing in bigger tournaments, but they schedule soft around Christmas time and get some wins.

The game was close throughout. Ryle started to take over with about 6 minutes left in the game. Dixie was just too small in the paint to handle the bigs for Ryle. Neither team really impressed me, though. Dixie didn't have a player over 6'3" , that was the difference.

It's a disaster...

That is definitely a possibility. However, a source that was at the game last night told me that the Ryle PG looked completely lost out there. Seems as if Mullins has been willing to stick with Ahern even if he struggles at times.
