See what happened to the last team that Holmes played in a rematch after they lost to them...There's a reason people have Holmes winning the 9th and not Boone. Boone may very well not even make it out of their district, and if they do they likely will have to beat both Holmes and Highlands to win region, depending on the draw.

Doesn't Boone have to beat Cooper to get in the regionals?

You said that Bryan Station shoot the lights out to win that game, that was something that was going to change second time around for Holmes without you having to do anything special. I think Boone County's win was more true. I dont know how to explain it, hope you know what I mean.

The odds of Holmes winning the 9th is proabley better, but if they go head to head I like Boone's chances, just like if Holmes plays Scott Co again. :D

First time Holmes and Bryan Station played, Holmes tried pressing and got burnt time after time. Coach Henley was quoted as saying it looked like "a layup line at the other end." Holmes didn't press the second game and just played tough m-2-m defense in the half court and it payed off...so to say no adjustments were needed is incorrect.

You also have to remember in a possible rematch, Boone is going to have to beat Holmes on a neutral floor that Holmes has already beaten Scott Co on earlier in the year and Boone has never played on it. The homecourt advantage they had against Holmes in the first game can be thrown out the window in a rematch.

Big Papa Panther you have got:

region

10 Scott

11 Franklin Co

Did you aim to do that? You're the only one picking against Scott County in the 11th.

Not having home court advantage is good point. But they know they can win. Do you have many teams above Boone Co against Holmes head to head?

IMO if anyone is going to knock Holmes out of the region tourney it's going to be Highlands. Despite getting down by 18 at one point, they continued to play hard and gave Holmes all they wanted on Holmes' home court. Had Boone beaten Holmes on Holmes' home floor I'd be much more worried about a rematch with them in two or 3 weeks.

Having the region tourney at BOK Center is actually a HUGE advantage for Holmes IMO considering they've already knocked off the state's current #1 team on that same floor. I also expect Coach Henley to make some adjustments and throw different things at Boone in a potential rematch.

Holmes has won 3 of the past 4 region tourney's....this group is used to winning big games when it counts.

I think region 14 is going to be one of the most interesting tournaments in the state. There are three teams, Hazard, Knott County Central, and Perry County Central, that anyone could beat the other. Not much difference in these 3. Add to this the fact that the region is hosted by Powell County this year. That's about as neutral a setting as you can have.

Letcher County Central, June Buchanan, Buckhorn, Estill County, Lee County, and Breathitt County all have the ability make it to the final game with the right draw, but I think only the top 3 I have listed have a chance to win the trip to Rupp.

Should be a great tournament in Stanton. And I want to add it is a very nice feeling to see the 56th district get the opportunity to host the region...even if it is just once every 6 years.

Why would they LIKELY have to beat Highlands AND Holmes?
