North Hardin 123 Fort Knox 19
I will be anxious to see the score of the North Hardin vs Central Hardin game. Do not know who will win but it will be close as the teams are easily matched. Then look at the score of the Central vs Fort Knox game to see how a coach with class handles the situation.

C.J. Coach's Poll: Top Teams and Players
Last I heard newspapers were about selling papers. Does Rose Hill have much of a following?

Danville 33 Bethlehem 14
That is a shame. I really expected something special playing in Danville. Posts last week mentioned teams in awe of the atmosphere etc. The team was great. Very good sports as were the fans that attended. Fans on this site are very knowledgable and friendly. I was disappointed however that there were so few local fans in attendance. Hopefully the program will get the support they deserve deeper into the playoffs.

Bethlehem (11-1) at Danville (11-1)
Not always so. Bardstown was much better on a wet field when matched up against Bethlehem.

Bethlehem (11-1) at Danville (11-1)
I have heard that Danville has had the field covered. This will play in the favor of Bethlehem. Their two worst games of the year were on wet turf. One was a 2 touchdown win over Green at Green (Worst game Bethlehem played all year), the other was the 28-0 loss to Bardstown on the last week of the season. The field was very wet. Bethlehem is a much better team on dry field.

Top 3 Teams in Class A eliminated
Isn't that an oxymoron. If they were the top three teams they would not have been eliminated.

Bethlehem (11-1) at Danville (11-1)
Thank you. That is nice for you to say. I guess after going into games with Holy Cross and Bardstown you feel pretty paranoid.

Bethlehem (11-1) at Danville (11-1)
As a Bethlehem fan I should take this thread as a good sign. The Danville fans are only predicting a 20-30 pt win. That is small compared to the wins that the Holy Cross (bigger than Danville) Bardstown (faster than Danville) fans predicted before we eliminated their squad. Yes it is true we only have 267 kids in the school and 24 on the football squad. It is also true the some of our best athletes are playing on are A State Champion soccer squad. All that said I understand why we can get no respect, but that's okay we like it that way. Bethlehem 24 Danville 14

Danville 35 Frankfort 6
You are correct. Received erronous information but we will be there and be ready.

Bethlehem will be ready so bring it on. We will see you at the Eagles Nest.

Bethlehem 23 Bardstown 14
Bethlehem had a fortunate play on the tipped pass; however Bethlehem should get credit for just whipping Bardstown. They held B-town to two touchdown both on a very short field. Bethlehem turned the ball over at least 3 times and had several big penalties go the other way. Bardstown is an excellent team but at least tonight Bethlehem was much better.

Bardstown v. Bethlehem (The Rematch)
Not much to say about this one. Two weeks ago Bardstown did there talking on the field. They ran right down Bethlehem's throat. Kaylen Williams will make a difference but it is tough to convince me that it will be a 28 pt difference. Bethlehem's chance to win will depend on their ability to play ball control. They must keep Bardstown's offense off the field and protect against turnovers leading to defensive scores for B-town.

Attendance down for the 1st round ?
I did not like the format initially but did enjoy the Bethlehem vs Holy Cross re-match last week. Was fun to have an early grudge match. But now it is out of the frying pan and in to the fire as we will travel .25 miles to Bardstown for another re-match. (We had over 1200 Friday night. Not bad for two schools with enrollment of less than 300)

St. X family...am I wrong???
I see nothing wrong with kids trying to express themselves. However it is the coaches job to inspire unity. I think it is a poor decision for a coach to let any player stick out from the rest of the team. It certainly seemed uncharacteristic coming from the St. X program.

Bardstown v. Bethlehem (The Rematch)
Bethlehem will stay in the game if they use Kent Simpson as effectively as they did Friday night. He is the heart of the team and an emotional leader. Bardstown still wins the game as they have so much talent. Kudos to Joey Downs. I listened to him on the radio show today and he is a class act. His tenure at B-town has been very underated.

John Hardin 14 Nelson Co. 13
Great job. Bruner is the real deal and will put Nelson back on top.

Bethlehem 21 Lou.Holy Cross 13
Bethlehem did not look like the same team as last week. Different team with Kaylin Williams in the game. Bardstown rematch next week.

Three sport athlete
Thanks, that is great input. He is not a D1 athlete but has seen varsity time in baseball as an 8th grader and quite a bit of varsity time as a 9th grader in football. His size is his biggest limitation as he is only going to be about 5'8''. He is extremely quick and running a 4.8 as a freshman. He enjoys basketball and will play point guard for the freshman team. I will be letting him make his own decision and trying to hide my preferences.

Three sport athlete
My son is trying to determine if he should play basketball. His best two sports are football and baseball. I would like him to forego basketball and lift. What are your thoughts?

Bardstown vs. KCD
I will be suprised if KCD passes midfield. Bardstown will return at least two int. for TD. Bardstown 49 KCD 0

Lou. Holy Cross @ Bethlehem
Bethlehem continues to get no respect. This is just where they like to be. I will be interested in how the split game the first time around effected the teams. I have heard two angles one stating that it helped Bethlehem because of their lack of depth and on saying it helped Holy Cross because their hogs up front were getting tired. Any thoughts?

Bardstown 28 Bethlehem 0
Bardstown looked very good. The field was no factor on the outcome. Neither team showed much of what you might expect in the playoffs. Obviously the worse game Bethlehem played all year but Bardstown can be looked at as the cause of that. Bethlehem will have to regroup and play much better or they will face elimination next week. On a positive note for Bethlehem; this type of attendance and attention will go along way in helping their program. I noticed last night that there were boys from St. Catherine, St. James, St. A's in attendance and all wearing Bethlehem blue. Let's hope that in the future they will be able to dress more than 24 players.

The Official Bardstown (9-0) v. Bethlehem (9-0) Thread
Sorry to be so late but had to travel to Louisville and watch the soccer team play Trinity. I am not a soccer fan but we beat St. X on Tues and loss 2-1 to Trinity tonight. Not bad for a school with 165 boys. Lally field update: The field is in good shape. I walked on it around 6:00 and it is not bad at all. Stands are in place and the barriers erected to keep fans away from the field. Shuttles will start running tomorrow at 5:00 pm. from Bethlehem, St. Joe's Church, and Bardstown High School. There is a 60 x 80 foot tent erected by the entrance for Bardstown and Bethlehem fans to use for tailgating. Hottest news: Kailen Williams will be sitting out tomorrow nights game for disciplinary reasons. Big plus for B-town.

The Official Bardstown (9-0) v. Bethlehem (9-0) Thread
I think a wet field always plays in the favor of the underdog. Weather is the great equalizer in a football game. Case in point last week in the Bethlehem vs Green game. The mud was ankle deep and it limited much of both teams offense. Since Bethlehems offense was better then they lost more. I believe on a dry field they beat Green handily. If the field is wet expect Kailen Williams and Rashaun Phillips to play a big role. Wet fields favor straight ahead runners. IMO Bethlehem should as Father Bill Hammer to pray for rain.
