Bardstown v. Bethlehem (The Rematch)

Featured Replies

Bardstown thumped Bethlehem a week ago 28-0 in poor field conditions. However, Bethlehem will have Kaylin Williams for this game and is coming off a very assertive first round victory over a resurgent Holy Cross team that noone thought Bethlehem would beat. Bardstown still beats lesser teams by four touchdowns when they are just going through the motions, but I think this game has the potential to be a bit more physical. Thoughts?

I think Bardstown wins 35-0

Bethlehem will make a much better showing in the rematch...I still think the Tigers have too much for them, but, a couple of breaks in Bethlehems favor and you never know...I say Btown by 14

Bethlehem will stay in the game if they use Kent Simpson as effectively as they did Friday night. He is the heart of the team and an emotional leader. Bardstown still wins the game as they have so much talent. Kudos to Joey Downs. I listened to him on the radio show today and he is a class act. His tenure at B-town has been very underated.

The earlier game between these two generated 105 posts. Surely there are more opinions on this game. I'm telling you, with Williams in the lineup and the Tigers have been sleepwalking, this is a potential upset. Long shot, mind you, but on any given Friday night . . .

bardstown wins, meets danville in region finals.

I will pick Bethlehem by 1. Bardstown came in and thumped them the first time. This could be one of those "it is tough to win the second time" games. Bethlehem will have to play mistake free football and hope that Bardstown coughs up the ball a time or two. I like both of their chances the next week.

I have to go with Bardstown in this one......not just because I'm an alum from there, but because I think the Tigers have a more powerful lineup, are better poised for this type of game and have an excellent coaching staff to support the play of the kids.

Bardstown 28-14.

Bethlehem by a touchdown. Bardstown is good, don't get me wrong. BUT two of their performances in last four weeks have been horrendous. And if you are not aware I am talking about their games against KCD. I do not see Bardstown going very far even if they do beat Bethlehem.

Not much to say about this one. Two weeks ago Bardstown did there talking on the field. They ran right down Bethlehem's throat. Kaylen Williams will make a difference but it is tough to convince me that it will be a 28 pt difference. Bethlehem's chance to win will depend on their ability to play ball control. They must keep Bardstown's offense off the field and protect against turnovers leading to defensive scores for B-town.
